HRAP 3 SA - HRAP EX SE: $89 at Amazon?!

Both Seimitsu LS-55-01 and LS-56-01 go in.
For reference, LS-55-01 will be 2mm taller than LS-56-01.
For reference, LS-56-01 will be 0.5mm shorter than Sanwa JLF.

Seimitsu LS-55-01 will go in, nothing special.

Seimitsu LS-56-01 will need swap Mounting Plate.
It comes default Seimitsu VF Mounting Plate, will need MS Mounting Plate.

Seimitsu MS Mounting Plate is default on LS-55(-01) and LS-33.

Thanks JDM 714 you have been very helpful. I will be looking into the LS-55-01. How is the LS-55 compared to the LS-32. Also any difference between the LS-56 and LS-55? I really like the way the LS-32 feels.

Thanks

I had a similar issue with my SA. The top 2 screws (near the turbo box) came out easy, the bottom two would not budge and were so soft that the bit I was using stripped the phillips head out of the screw.

So I took a set of hardened steel diagonal pliers and cut into the screw head with them and turned them that way. Worked a dream, but the screws were pretty ugly afterward, so I got some new 4mm x 6mm metric machine screws to replace the whole set.

Man it is still on sale.

Ordered one tonight. I can’t get over the regular HRAP is still 130.

I finally just orderd mine for 360 and it shipped today, should get it before Xmas. Wanted a PS3 one as well but since my ps3 is busted gotta save where I can.

Not planning on modding buttons right away, want to play with it awhile before I start messing with it. But I am planning on Putting on some custom artwork. Anyone want to give a scale of how hard it is to do on one of these? Was pretty simple on my SF4 SE stick.

But the most important question.

Darkstalkers, Green Lantern, or X-Men Art lol.

Darkstalkers, of course. I’ll modify some of my art for the SE, I should be getting mine Wednesday.

Putting custom artwork on these sticks looks very simple. I have the HRAP3-SA for PS3, and I ordered stuff for this type of project from arthong’s website. From there, you could order a high quality laser print of your artwork, as well as a custom plexiglass cutout for the HRAP3 stick. I ordered an artwork printout, plexiglass cutout, and custom dustwasher. I can’t wait to receive them and see how they turned out.

EDIT: Here is a thread that shows how to add custom artwork to the TE, and it looks to be almost the exact same process as the HRAP 3.

Mine just came but my gf wont let me open it haha. Since she paid for it she took it to her house to wrap it for xmas.

Guess this gives me more time to find my Darkstalkers pics. Was going to either do a full B.B. Hood theme and make a mash up of images or do B.B. Hood, Jedah, Morgan, and Ankaris theme.

anyway cant wait. Hope the art comes out well on yours kitsunisan, looks cool so far. Looks like we will join all 4 other people with DS art lol. (only seen 2 so far but I assume theres afew mroe

My $89.99 Amazon hrap ex se with sanwa buttons and a custom template i made. Im very pleased with the way the stick came out.

Okey, I’ve had mine since christmas now and I’ve decided I wanna kinda of mod it. Since I only play Tekken, I only need four buttons. I also think it’s annying when my finger touches the sides of the buttons. Not a good feeling. So therefore, I wanna take four buttons away. But, I don’t wanna use something like this: http://lizardlick.com/images/for_sal...ns/obsm_30.jpg

So how should I do? Completely new background art, with only holes for four buttons. I wanna make them disappear, thinking there never where more than four buttons in the first place.

Posted this in another thread, but I guess it was the wrong thread.

So only four buttons, allthough I wanna keep the original background art.

Print new art and cut only for holes for Button.

Original art is Custom art?

Wow, is it really that simple? Where can I get information about this?

Well, the original art is probably the custom art for the HRAP 3 SA, but what do I know.

joystick steal of the century, just gave my gf the HRAP EX-SE, and i plan on getting a HRAP 3 SA if i can.

Why do people take these things off? I opened my stick up to check out its guts, and the dark blue gate looks like it has the same corners as the greenish one. Why is this gate on the stick? Why do people get rid of them?

Here, Seimitsu LS-32(-01).

You don’t need the blue gate… It has two-way and four-way gates for older-style games that can use them but since most people use LS-32’s for fighting games it’s kind of pointless to leave it.

It doesn’t hurt the stick one way or the other if you leave it on. Consider this — most joysticks only have one gate installed by the manufacturer and it’s usually one restrictor or two-in-one like the stock square gate on the JLF. Seimitsu is basically giving away 2 more restrictor gate styles with that blue overlay.

Only thing is that if you really want to use you’d have to remove the main overlay after unscrewing them… The fact that they screw in I think is one advantage of the JLF. You don’t need a tool (screwdriver) to take off the JLF gates… you just pop them on and off the pegs.
