HRAP 3 SA - HRAP EX SE: $89 at Amazon?!

This stick is great. I just got mine today. The LS-32 spring made me a adjust my grip a bit, but it’s great. It has me looking at my TE wondering why i’ve been grinding down the gate for the past 4 months. The throw really does need to be a little shorter on the JLF. If it had a shorter throw then Seimitsu would have nothing. The buttons feel great, but the gaps for gunk to fall into the case is pretty large. That’s just a nit pick though.

My gripe with the EX-SE is that the buttons are so loud. This is because the case is hollow but its reallllly loud and I’m scared to play at night time cause I might disturb my roomates.

I am not liking the quality of the LS-32 either, it feels really flimsy. Hopefully that will change once I mod it with the LS-40 shaft and pivot cylinder.

i have the ps-14-kn and they have a much better feel imo. they’re not flat and have a decent convex arc on the buttons.

my cousin bought the EX SE and i didnt like the buttons. felt too flat, almost to the point where it was concave which imo, didnt feel right.

I’m liking the stiffer feel of the 32, but yes the buttons, compared to the near silent TE Sanwa’s, are pretty loud. The JLF seems to be built for speed, and finesse. Where as the LS-32 is for more power, and precision. It’s easy to move the JLF around with a couple fingers. Not so much with the 32.

I might take off the secondary gate, because i keep hitting it when i go for hit confirms.

I took off the secondary gate, feels better without it. Thing I like about the LS-32 is that you can feel when you hit the microswitches. I almost forget that there is a square gate.

I already ordered sanwa buttons for my EX-SE. I didnt like clunky feeling of the Seimitsu buttons.

Actually you got it kinda backwards. The LS32 is better for quick movements, which is why it’s favored by SHMUP players. You gotta have split second timing to dodge the bullets. Whereas the JLF is better for precise movements, like the movements for special moves in fighting games.

The reason for this has to do with throw range, engage distance, and spring strength. Check out slagcoin for more information.

this.

ls32 is good if you want your shit to come out faster because it has a slightly shorter throw distance. once you get used to to the ls32, it’s a great stick.

personally, playing on a ls32 for such a long time, it feels weird going back to a jlf. i have to exaggerate my movements a lot more imo

This is only my second stick so i really can’t deny a more experienced opinion. Basically the micro switches are a lot easier to feel on the LS-32, but it doesn’t move as fast. You can swing the JLF around very easily , but for me at least, i often hit the gate along with the switches so i miss combos that way. The moves do come out faster with the 32. My JLF grip just isn’t cutting it. I’ll read up on slagcoin.

it was $79 for short period of time.

I have to agree with both of these posts. This is my first time playing with the LS-32 and I was able to do really fast and precise moves earlier today.

example 1: i was standing right infront of a blanka player while he did a wakeup ultra to try to finish me and with Seth I was able to teleport backwards half screen then teleport behind him then ultra him back to back,123. which for me is an achevement since my execution is really bad. I did the same vs a Ryu player that was cornered, teleported backwards then back in front of him when he threw out the super fireball.

example 2: again with blanka, was able to ex shoryuken him the instant he did his ultra, I was cornered and was afraid to teleport behind him (don’t know if the electricity will hit me if I’m behind him ) which again is an achievement and improvement for my slow non-executing ass

Thing that kills me is how cheap the LS-32 feels. The shaft bounce really bothers me. I will definitely be buying an LS-40 to swap out parts.

Damn they dont accept paypal

I can’t get these screws out! I don’t want to stripe them but man they are really in there.

Edit: The one’s holding the mounting plate in.

YA SA! Beats dual mod service & seimitsu im sold! GREAT FIND BIG GUY

I’ve been working for a good 45minutes and I’ve got 1 screw of 4 out. What gives?

Edit: I just broke (2) a screw driver bits. Anyone else have this problem?

Righty tighty - left loosey :lovin:

JK, they can be a pain as I think the screws are coated with a clear varnish before they go in to reduce the possibility of the plate undoing itself after heavy use.
Slow and steady…not much else you can do.

Strange, I took off my screws easily with no problem.

That’s what I was expecting but these things are not budging.

do you have an electric drill? i had problems with mine as well and just busted out my drill, put in a phillips head bit and took those bastards out with ease.

Tried a drill already. I was doing more damage to the drill bits than actually budging the things (the screws themselves are made out of some tough metal). I thought I saw a suggestion online someone og heating the scres with a soldering iron. THough I though that’d just make them expand and fit tighter?

If I dremel off the screw heads to get the thing out is there a way to get the shafts out of the mounting bracket or would I just always have to use the Seimitsu SS plate?

Edit: also, I am using the correct bits (I’d used multiple ones to find the best fit). Or at least I was; the two that gave my the tightest fit broke on me.
