Hmm. Well if you were to look at the team aspect, Doom absolutely makes a team better in every way, creating a much more favorable matchup for any character/team thus high tier rankings. I hate Doom but you can’t ever go wrong putting him in a team. He’s pretty solid anyways. Now Strange at B…
Might be even too high. In point, without proper assist, he can almost do nothing but big gambles (random SoV or teleport). His movement really lacking
Team aspect sure, Hidden Missiles are a meta defining assist, but you also have to look at what Doom brings as a character when you’re behind the wheel. In light of those facts, Doom is not S tier. He’s like Sentinel in that respect. Gdlk assist, scary XF, even has some decent option selects, but has glaring matchup weaknesses. And there are characters that do what Doom does, only better.

Have been meaning to learn Strange in depth lately. Used him for a few days and watched some videos of him and so far this is what I got.

Got some few questions about the character.
I’m a heavy Spidey user so, I have no clue on how to get Strange’s opponents off as he plays relatively different. Also, how do you keep him relatively safe?
Browsed through the zoning thread but I feel that EoA is too slow to get things started, especially against good rush down and beam teams (Wolv, Mags, Verg). I feel his zoning is quite awkward and slow but it may be because I’ve used him for a few days only and I’m used to Hawkeye.
I’m planning to run Spidey/Strange/Doom or Strange/Hawkeye/Doom since I’m originally running Spidey/Hawkeye/Doom.
Tips please? Posted here as this has the most pages on the Strange board.

Against bigger characters use mystic sword L. Its 0 on block & you can frametrap them with standing M or impact palm into another mystic sword L
Eye of agamotto is a momentum builder its key to his offense & defense.
The best start to his gameplan is a red grace though. You wanna have one
out on the ground & kinda super jump above it and fire off a flame of the faltine
under heavy pressure. Since it tracks creates an explosion its like a cushion for
his fall & it leaves u at frame advantage on hit or block.
At worst if they are full screen it’ll get in their way so you can set something else
up as you fall like an eye of agamotto or daggers m

hey guys, i just switched from bolts assist to DoD assist, and i was just wondering if any of you guys use DoD and what you do with it.
I used to run M daggers with She Hulk on point to force the opponent to eat a command grab mixup. Its fairly good for teleport mix ups too as you could imagine.
how exactly did that mixup go? =]
Strange and She-hulk have some nasty synergy.
If M daggers hit go for H command grab if you’re in range. Its fairly easy to time.
A good reset was to use a ground bounce mid combo then relaunch, call out assist after flying screen, booty drop, your opponent will recover immediately to standing ground state cuz your ground bounce is used up, and they will hold back when they see the daggers start to move. You can L command grab before the daggers hit and then the daggers will be nullified during the grab animation.
Your opponent can escape this by regular throwing you before your L command grab hits. Tech the throw or move out of throw range then they get hit by daggers and you can hit them with H command grab and get a full combo anyway.
Your opponent will be in a dizzy state.
Call out strange and do a full IP or FOF loop for the kill. They will be cornered by the end of your combo. Tiger Knee an eye of agomatto in the corner. Raw tag to she hulk and use the DP air throw super. Inescapable incoming mixup. Reset em again with command grab. Tag combo, use incoming setup again x factor for the kill.
The team I used was Shulk/Strange/Hawkeye and when it got rolling it was super cheap and intimidating.
The problem was it rarely got rolling and long story short I switched out She hulk for Hidden Missiles…
just played a ton of hag/sent/strange vs shadyk on fgtvlive. hoefully archives will be there. its mostly haggar going crazy :]

I am just picking up the good Doctor with a team of Joe/Strange/Taskmaster. How should I be playing his neutral game? I have a hard time opening people up and doing damage with him.
I’m new too. What I have learned: Just be annoying and they’ll open up for you.

Don’t bother, Strange got no damage. He gets like million easy random hits but can’t do a real damage. If someone just stand and block he is helpless
