…So who else knew 7 Rings, when activated with a projectile, is completely invincible throughout? I was proved wrong on stream by Ryan Hunter lol. I thought it only had invincible startup lol, guess not.
So I guessing level 3 supers can’t hit Strange during it?
for the most part, once the astral projectile goes back to strange you are vulnerable again
yup, invincible period, until super is over… i’ve 7 ringed a jumping shot from taskmaster who cancelled into super, and taskmaster’s super went through dr, strange for the most part
it’s invincible for 149 frames.
He also completely recovers as the beam finishes so he can block and move when it’s over.
Once the beam is out, yes he avoids everything. But if a physical hit like Weskers level 3 goes off before the beam starts, it’s probably gonna hit. Other supers like Magneto’s gravity squeegee and I think RR’s will actually trigger the super.
what everyone else said. it explains it in the umvc3 guide. i didn’t do the match, but once the beam is activated, i don’t think there are any punishable frames!
i was playing my friend online, and i used 7 rings against his vergil’s full screen sword hyper thing. the beam activated and he dhc’d into dante’s devil trigger. dante somehow appeared behind strange. anyways, he used a bunch of normals to try and start a combo, but nothing hit me! xD
another time, i was playing a different friend, and we used 7 rings on each other. no dr. strange was hurt during the process.

after seeing vita dante’s hitboxes, i’m not really very comfortable comparing these to the console version, but here they are anyways. i suggest you download this video to your computer before fingercramp has another shit conniption, deletes it, and doesn’t make more until months later.

WTF is up with Mystic Sword M and H? A projectile that big has a small hitbox.

what do you guys suppose is up with the hitbox on his leg before he does impact palm? i also thought air :h: would be better because it always connects when air :s: doesn’t.
illusion, graces, and 7 rings seem to have no special hitbox of their own… and the guy said bolts of balthakk is exactly what you’d expect. i also don’t understand SoV’s hitbox.
Those red grace explosions are huge. Not a lot of vertical control, but still good to know people have to be that far away to not get hit.
You guys should really invest in Strange TACs if you haven’t already. Being able to tack on 300-400k extra damage off pretty much any combo AND putting Strange where he wants to be (which is in the corner, away from neutral game) is pretty damn good.
Yeah, I’ve been using those TACs, played a FT5 with a Viper/Mags/Ammy team yesterday and styled on him with Strange’s TACs. I even SoV into an infinite. Need to find a Zero player though so I can pratice that matchup.
oh, that reminds me, what kind of options does dr. strange have after a TAC? i know really good TACs with my other two characters, but not him. i know the FoF loop is one, but i can’t do that yet. any effective stuff that’s online friendly?
the only thing i know to do is go for a really tricky grab reset that i saw my friend doing.

Strange, Dormammu and Doom are a godlike trio, a variation of FChamp’s team. I started to get even better results running Dorm/Strange/Doom. Anyways, we need to develop and exchange tricks, my fine Mr.Dr.
