Strange/Assist/Assist not your thing, then? Strange/Log/Drones would be really good on paper, just sucks that the characters the assists come with are pretty subpar…
With Strange he needs a team to help out his mix up game, I would recommend a lock down assist to help him set up some graces and a beam assist for teleport mix ups till you understand the character better. I do feel Strange is for more advanced players, you cant just dive in to battle with him, you need a game plan and his more advanced combos combos take some execution. If you plan to use him online just note his standard loops of graces and mystic sword are close to impossible with lag.
@maz i think hulk AA assist actually helps him a lot. since strange defense isnt exactly the greatest. only problem is itll whiff vs smaller characters
@mozart i think i haver a fairly good understanding of strange, i for one dont exactly think im a strange nub. it just seems very hard to get started with strange. too much blocking :[ also my team is hulk/strange/sent for more information.
Cart has been working really well for me so far. I haven’t been doing a great job of confirming my hits into the best combos (week one scrub strange >.>), but I have been getting a fair amount of openings. You can teleport to confirm a hit from pretty much anywhere (and it leaves them grounded so you get a crumple), it gives you a ton of time to set up Eyes or graces and helps control ground level pretty well. Kind of sucks if your opponent runs a fast projectile assist, but that really just means you have to be smarter about your calls. It’s still one of the best Keep away/mixup assists in the game, imo.
One thing that gives me a lot of success with strange is giving him an invincible cross over assist like zeros flame sword, its like every opponent i face wants to take him out at all cost.
I’m almost pulling of a ‘Japan special’ and throwing Vergil as anchor to help him out. I love Ammy, but I can’t seem to get her way of playing. I wish I was serpentaurus
Hi I recently learned the Faltine loop but i was looking around to see if it’s doable off a TAC in the corner. I didn’t find anything so I checked it out for myself and you can do it off all 3 directions. I’m not sure if this is common knowledge though and I recorded them so if it’s something of worth, i can upload them.
also i posted a while back with a video of strange’s impact palms loops not working on the playstation vita after the 2nd rep and someone asked me if the faltine loop works. it does work perfectly on the vita but you still can’t do more than 2 reps of airm, airm, airh, palm for whatever reason, lol.
i need to learn fof loop, but no time to practice. i love adult life </3
the best way to play amy is with the glaive, check out a player called x-ray hes really good with stance change combos and show lot of mix-ups with the glaive its amys strongest stance.
It’s debatable, Marlin and Clockwork two of the best Ammy players mostly play with the reflector (of course changing stances all the time for air maneuvering and mixups), its a matter of range + slightly extra damage VS solar flare + fireworks counters, the Ammy player must choose wisely according to the matchups.

these are all in the corner. its cool because you land so when you launch them again, you pass the character back to your previous partner. so in my case i can do a damaging corner loop with dorm, exchange to strange, do flame loops, then exchange back to dorm for dark hole loops.if i wasnt alone when recording these, id include the full combos but you get the idea. sorry for crap quality!
Serpentaurus how well does Ammy’s Cold Star work as a left-right mixup tool for Strange? Is it fast enough?
It is, not Hawkeye levels of speed but it is good, i had have some success with Strange + cold star but i mostly play in online matches. The w/l rate for my team is +80% online, so yes, it’s a good team.
The main trick is the double cross up, first i throw a homing flame of the faltine (powered up by at least one yellow grace), then teleport M/H, call ammy, and do the teleport M again. If the mixup works, crumple, if doesn’t work, TK flying into j.S, or Eye of agamotto due to the lengthy lockdown, so Strange can try more mixups later and keep in control with the zoning.
Of course, the real deal in this team is the THC. One bad assist call from the other player equals two dead characters if Strange has two bars and XF. This is why Strange is the ultimate anti-Morrigan x Doom team.
havent tried it, but what can you do if they block te thc? and what combo would hit after you start teleporting randomly in between ammy super.

I will probably be getting back into Marvel trying to get Jill/Strange to work. Those are the only two characters I find interesting in this ass of a game atm.
Nice mazio, i always though Jill / Strange / Strider-Ammy-Doom-Vergil was one of the best teams for Strange due to Jill being one of the sickest reset oriented characters in the game. I just wish i could play Jill like nonsexualrise / fatedanswer / jsole u.u
