Get within the distance where you can throw out moves for him to block while he’s in Yoga Fire blockstun. Believe it or not, Sim has good rush/zoning tactics. He isn’t a pure defensive character. So yeah, da fuck cares if Honda is turtling? He doesn’t have a fireball.
Honda doesn’t lose charge if you teleport to the other side…he can hold that direction and get free headbutts if honda had charge.
and one of the dirtiest moves honda has isn’t even mentioned yet. RC 360.
did i mention honda has super moves? as kcxj mentioned before, lvl2 headbutt has crazy frame advantage, plus invincibility on start up.
and jumping rc slaps? he mashes and it hits you/trades. you’re knocked down, he comes in for heavy damage with the aforementioned rc 360. then he turtles for the rest of the match. good luck trying to catch up on damage with chip damage from your yoga fires.

Umm…correct me if im wrong (lol) but reversal teleport would beat any wake up game from Honda or ne1 from taht matter. Not that u need it cause its not like Honda’s wakeup game is 100% deadly (shit i’ve seen more then enuf matches where crazy Honda’s fuck up that shit).

I forgot some things. First of all, Honda has one of the widest hit boxes in the game. This means that if u jump at him during Slaps some characters will cross him up with jumpins that normally dont crossup. That means that characters like Dhalsim can crossup with the Drill because it will hit his FATTY backside. Cause Honda is fatso.
And finally, I want to mention how susceptibale Honda is to roll super and random jumpin super. All I see the “pros” doing with him is random RC’ed slaps. That’s like roll super bait. And random super bait. And random jumpin bait. What’s Honda gonna punish u if he doesnt commit at the time? S. fierce? OOOOOH NO! :sad:

dhalsim does no damage, plain and simple. i’m not just ripping on dhalsim because he’s dhalsim, i’ve actually learned him extensively, and he does not beat honda.
and yes, every honda hand slap WILL be RC’d if you’re opponent is semi-decent.
and slaps are roll super bait? FROM DHALSIM? dhalsim’s roll is horrible, good luck hitting a roll super with dhalsim against anybody, much less honda. and standing fierce from honda does 2x the damage of any normal that dhalsim will throw out.

what the hell? i meant his RC invincibility will run out while Sim is floating above him, then he can drill him in the head. I didn’t mean the Honda won’t RC. The whole point of jumping up is to avoid the invincibility part (which is what makes fighting Honda on the ground so hard).
About the roll, I meant that generally. I know Sim’s roll is really shitty. For other characters tho like Sagat, rolling is good. And N groove Iori (as an example) can counter roll to combo from behind. So yeah, as long as you avoid SLAPPY SLAPPY (by jumping, rolling, or keeping out of range), and learn to take advantage when he has no charge, then it’s not that bad.

when did i say that? Any teleport is the best thing a character can have to avoid bullshit wake up games. Why do you think a character like Akuma in 3S is considered anti-Urien (by most)? Cause he has teleport to escape Aegis unblockables in the corner, for one. So don’t make it sound like teleport isn’t useful to Sim in the Honda matchup, especially since Honda thrive’s on wakeups as mentioned already by ur friends in this thread.
