I can not combo into it. Is there a simple bnb combo so I can fully hit the metsu shoryuken?
the only combo i know are the following (both have to be in the corner)
- Trial 24; j.hp, cr.lp x2, cr.mp, cr.mk, fb, fadc, u2 OR
- cr.mp x2, cr.mk, fb, fadc, u2 [media=youtube]_c3DIEW8WOY[/media]
None of these are what i’d actually call as “bnb” that’s some of the hardest links as a ryu player.
I think you also have 1 or 2 frames to land the ultra… not worth comboing imo.

Found an easy combo. It’s easy as landing a j.HP or j.HK (and maybe deep j.MK - not tested).
Great for situations where you’re sure you will land the HK or HP while in the air (ie jumping over a recovering fireball move, or neutral jumping a whiffed Tornado Throw, Ultra etc)
CH cr.MP > Metsu SRK, j.MP (1 hit) > Metsu SRK. Try it.
m, I guess most people will stick with the old ultra…
does the srk ultra deal more damage than hado ultra?
I’ve landed it off of a deep crossup, but I won’t be sure how reliable that is until I grab a copy tomorrow.
You can combo it in the corner. Cr jab cr fp xx lp fireball ex fadc ultra works.
As long as your a good distance away you can combo off of lp fireball fadc depending on the width of the character.

Timing is tight as fuck. I’m having a hard time landing it at all now.
Yeah, thus far I’ve been using it to AA, or punish whiffed silly shit.
I tend to link it with a deep J. HK pretty easily.
I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that Ryu’s Ultra II is useful for those who like to combo into it after performing one hit (such as a deep jumping attack).
can punish projectiles from deceptively far away
cr. mk, hadoken> MSRK, but do it from cr. mk’s maximum poking range
I’m confused, are people saying simply that it’s comboable off a FADC’d fireball? What does it matter what comes before that in the combo?? (it’s late in the afternoon and I’m tired)

I have yet to attempt this myself, however, I am sure some other enthusiast has the answer; I have noticed that a HP srk can combo as a juggle after a jumping MP. Can the metsu SRK do something similar if timed and positioned properly?

Yes. But no animation. (I don’t know about if the 2nd hit of the j.mp misses… That’s a different juggle state I think.)
You could do the standard SRK fadc Metsu SRK, doesn’t do too much damage. Looks super nifty though.
If only the first hit of j.MP lands, yes, you get full Ultra 2.
Going through some of these combos, lol. Don’t think I’ll be using them in games any time soon, rather easy to pull off in training though.
