How much PP does a "good" player have?

How come I am not surprised that sth like this comes from you?
The only two players with 4k+ PP JR has ever played in a FT5 or FT10 set during the last whole year / basically since the day he got those 6k PP was hsien88 and J Rose.
He had like 3k PP the other day and from one night to the other morning he had 6k PP in SSF4 AE and then he lost the interest in playing this game.
I am sure you can explain why a 6k PP player never challenges anyone with 4k+ PP and whenever he does this happens.
I for one, like many others respect good player who are in the 6k PP range like Daigo, Tokido, Poongko, Latif, Infiltration, Alioune Sensei etc. Is JR / has JR ever been anywhere near these ppl’s skill lvl?
Anyone who is good at this game knows actually how difficult it is to get 6k PP in this game.
Btw a friend of mine whos gamertag is Nuckledudu Guile beat JR 5-0 recently. And not 1 single **** was given by JR uploading these matches on his channel.

We played 6 matches due to the reason I had to go to the city to buy some stuff for my father.
Final score was 4/2 in my favour,but some games were really close.

Considering how terribly you get punished for even one loss PP wise you still gotta maintain a pretty high win clip to keep going up. You stil aren’t necessarily getting better but the nature of the “grind” for PP is way different than grinding for BP.

I think playing for points and playing to improve are very different.

People in ranked are willing to take outrageous risks to win your points, and in a 2/3 tournament set they would be much more cautious.

Grinding ranked definitely helped me improve, but I think there is a cap on it for sure. The skillset you have to use is a little different. I spend way more time baiting dps and spacing myself for AAs online when in person I’m mostly worried about the ground game.

BP is not just a matter of playing a lot, it takes a good winning percentage to stay above 15K BP. Though anything under A rank is piss easy to achieve and easy to maintain.
