Everyone should REALLY try and get there early. I want to start at 7:30. Even though people always come late, this is not a good event to come late to. It’s gonna delay things longer than it should be.

Yes, I’ve been crunching numbers for two days. The turnout will be alot more than expected. I had initially figured in 15 Houstonians only w/o Austinites, due to short notice. But since Austin #reload players are hardcore, they’re coming!
So I believe my initial format must change.
23 people CONFIRMED
Calculations:
25 entrants
300 sets - 2/3 sets
4 stations = 48 sets/hr
AROUND 6hrs 15mins.
Solution:
1/1 sets throughout round robin, except for 1-3 placing playoffs.
CAL:
300 Sets = 1/1 sets
4 Stations = 120/hr (2min 1/1 matches)
300 / 120 = AROUND 2hr 30mins.
Compared to AROUND 6hr 15mins.
PROS:
- SAVE TONS of time
- More time for lots of casual
CONS:
- 2 days before event change in format. Mainly affects out-of-towners because Houston is use to 1/1 matches.
- Possibility of “1/1 results are random” comments.
I apologize for the change, but it MUST be done to save time. Hopefully this will not change anyone’s decision in coming, because its gonna be action-packed regardless. The main purpose of the #Riot series is to spark the #reload interest and keep the scene alive.

Another update:
There have been many requests asking to start the tournament on time (7:30PM) and keep the matches constantly going.
Mainly because time is money at SG, and whenever other people are affecting your money, it causes tension and problems. I RECOMMEND an all day/evening pass. But the SG Fee is up to the individual.
There’s roughly 300 sets we have to get through, and the time calculations did not factor in having to find people for their matches. Please be near the #Reload stations most of the time.
Match disqualifications will be given out.
Sounds harsh, but that’s the only way to keep things running smoothly. Some major complaints at tournaments:
“Why is there nobody on the machine?”
“Where is XX and XX??!? Go find them!”
“MAN! This tournament is taking forever!!”
To somewhat avoid the chaos, there will be #Riot Staff running every station. They will be the ones calling out your names to come play and keeping track of the records. After a player’s entire set is done, the #Riot Staff will then transfer the results to the Main Round Robin grid.

Hey i think it’s great you guys are doin this. It’s good to see people get excited about gaming again. Seems like after Evo things slowed down a lot. I hope things turnout well. Obviously David is awesome with Potemkin, but if you need some pointers and whatnot I’m pretty decent.
The total cost to play in this will run 12 dollars correct? 7 for an all day pass and 5 for the registration fee? And we can stay for casual afterwards I take it.
Oh, and sorry Houston dudes for us causing the tourny to be 1/1 sets. Several of the Austin crew decided to carpool at the last minute, which made it much easier for all of us to get there.
Yeah, unless you guys planning on getting there and practicing before 6 then it’ll be $10 for an all-day pass
