No, PS3 still broke.
The commentary was a little hard to hear. Maybe it was just me idk. But the game’s audio was a little loud and would drown out the commentary a little bit. Also, the “hype black guy” in the background was pretty annoying. The commentary was ok. Sometimes it was funny, sometimes it was meh. I think they did a pretty good job but I have to admit if I wasn’t already hyped and committed to this game I might have switched the stream off.
The stream was already losing viewers anyway. There were about 3100-3000 viewers for the last KoF match, that number fell to about 2700 -2800 for most of Skullgirls. At about Grand Finals though it fell to about 2400. However Stream 1 (SSF4) was losing viewers too so it might just be that people had to go places and not necessarily were leaving cause they hated Skullgirls.
All that said, great stream. Really wanted to see more Painwheel, glad Mike Z could hold it down. Excited for Valentine footage!

That they lost 300 people isn’t that big a deal. After all kof13 and sg are very different from each other. And not everyone can be hype for the same game.
Also while I’m hear, let me just say I LOVED the entire stream and commentary.

I completely missed reading the thread since I was caught up in the SCR hype all weekend. I absolutely LOVED Fanatiq being on the stream. I absolutely LOVED that he gushed about Skullgirls being more Mahvel than Mahvel 3 and I absolutely LOVED his pokemon snap tirades. The stream managed to hold it’s own for more than an hour and a half which is FANTASTIC for an unknown indie effort in an event like SCR and the trolls were mostly gone by the end of the showing.
I hope the SKG team takes a the concept one step further and kidnaps Justin Wong or another large Mahvel name next so that we can get more opinions and evaluations from top players. Extra points and more money from me if they challenge Fanatiq to a game of pokemon snap on stream.
Definitely one of the best streams along with BlazBlue’s showing and KOF’s HYPE ASS rivalry. My friends are totally gonna need this game connected by IV drip when I get the chance to sit them down for the archive.
Yeah, there were trolls, but a lot of folks walked away feeling that the game looks good and that is what matters most here. The stream was not perfect, the commentary was not MLG ESPORTS quality and the video quality was not 1080p, but it was one of the longest showings for the game with good quality to boot. This was a great showing if you ask me.

Anyone happen to get some footage of that shimapan palette for Valentine? I’m starting to get attached to this kitten, and it’s not going to have the same kind of impact if I threaten to pet it…
This game is interesting, it’s not marvel but it’s not Street Fighter. It has it’s own unique charm which makes it highly appealing.
Hopefully it fleshes out and gets more attention. I’ll be checking it out if I have the spare time.
