You should make time to check it out, seriously!
A friend of mine introduced me to the game. I like it. Especially that voluptuous ninja girl. Valentine (hopefully my girlfriend won’t read this lol).
But I have a bit of a priority list at the moment. Marvel, Soul, and then Skullgirls. Don’t get me wrong. I love the style of the game. That bioshock-like decor really gets me going. But you know, I have a bit of loyalty to the aforementioned series. Ill be “seconding” Skullgirls if possible though. And perhaps it’ll win me over completely!
3 of the 4 I plan on focusing on haha, though not any over the other really. Skullgirls is just looking too good right now and with more likely to come after release.
I do think the mechanics being implemented are awesome. All the characters look on-point viable. But call me stingy or shallow I guess, but I never was a person to constantly pick the females in fighting game. Just my preference. Once they throw in a few guys though Ill definitely be on board a bit more. But I will admit, Valentine is making this game awfully tempting haha.

I was thrilled when I read that. Mike and Peter have both told me before that I personally would be very happy with Valentine, and I’ve been waiting on pins and needles to find out why. I absolutely cannot WAIT to see it in action. #_^
Since I play platformers and obviously have no idea of what Shimapan is (because I am that lame). Mind explaining this for a poor scrub?

Well, if you really want to talk about it, the appeal of shimapan comes from both the rarity and the fact that it exudes a sort of girlish innocence. In the same way that my beloved Zettai Ryouiki is also appealing; it indicates a girl (possibly the ingenue) who, while possibly aware of her attractiveness, isn’t cynical enough to use it yet.
Off course Duckie could probably write a whole paper on the subject.
