Y’all need to take the sticks outta your asses, real talk. It was a day one tourney, they didn’t know enough about the game to seriously commentate on what was going on, so they were just entertaining. >_>

Maybe for you it was entertaining but I didn’t find it entertaining at all. Am I not allowed to have a different opinion from you ? Any SG gets a chance at a major to show case the game on live stream and we have people talk about pokemon…Even people who were maybe interested in the game or stuck around from past games and decide to check it out now way did the stream benefit them. When it could of been a way to generate more interest into skullgirls. I don’t know how they did it but maybe they should of put someone on that knew more about the game.
If I was commentating over this game it would go into crack fiction, unintentional video game similarities and sack people. All would still be connected to Skull Girls.
Alls I’m saying is that it doesn’t need to be super serious “must promote game at all times.” It doesn’t matter if they’re talking about pokemon or whatever so long as there’s hype and fun. I’m sure there’s plenty of people who came away from that stream that had fun and were hyped

So anyways, I sent that SMASH SMASH SMASH video to a friend who I had told about skullgirls but never shown it to him, and he said that it was “the best looking fighting game [he’s] ever seen.”

Why waste a good opportunity to promote the game ? I’m also sure there’s plenty of people who also just turned the stream off because of the horrible commentary. Once again the game isn’t even out yet and everything they’re doing is an attempt to promote and show case the game. The commentary could of been better. Instead we get Pokemon snap and fanatiq promote his facebook and twitter. I have no problem with chill commentary however, can the game get released first ? The game hasn’t sold yet and if anyone gave that stream a passing glance last night they probably turned it off instantly because of the commentary.
Well in between all the totally off topic spiels, there was a lot of talk about Skullgirl’s being the best game ever, better than MvC3, too perfect etc.
Wasn’t my type of humour but I can see how it would be entertaining for some people. Whoever that was going crazy during one (of the many) Cerebella Showstoppers was hilarious though.
A lot of great games there, even though there was no Painwheel in the top 8 I enjoyed every match.
Fanatiq came on the stream and said the game was straight up better than Marvel 3. They spent most matches gushing over how smart the game was and being hype. If that ain’t promoting the game then I don’t know what is. >_>
We’re tired, but not tired enough to accidentally bring the stick with the last character on it, sorry y’all.
SCR is sick, Skullgirls being there makes it even sicker. I recorded a ton of matches during the Skullgirls tourney yesterday and will try to get those videos up soon. I would have tried to put them up last night but the internet at the hotel here sucks. I’ll capture a lot more today as well for you guys.
