It won’t be Sanwa RG’s, it is going to be a carbon copy (parts wise) of the Vewlix arcade machine.
Because like me, I used to lift the stick up by the stick itself which probably isn’t the best thing to do. I later then just started to lift it from the base of the stick. In my opinion its a good feature but i will say thats its not necessary.
Actually, I always found that picking up any HRAP resting on a hard surface almost impossible to pick up without gripping the stick. The box tapers and has nothing for you to grab it with. My hands just slide off the box.
It will mount, but Shaft Height will be 5mm less than standard.
When I saw the first pics of the white case, I really wanted one. Now that I’ve seen the final product with the black case, I think I’ll just get a HRAP3 SA for $90…
Markman, their not coming out with a white one? :crybaby:
this whole Seimitsu compatibility issue is really starting to piss me off…
sorry about the off-topic but, is there a way I can mount a LS32-01 on a jp HRAP-EX ? what do I need, schematics/pics ? I have a dremel to drill a bit, and I suppose I can ask a friend for laser cutting… what’s a RE monting plate ? schematics on custom lengh seimitsu shafts?(I could make one) can somebody point me in the right direction ? (I’m kinda new to seimitsu (even if I played with a neo stick for a bit) but wanna get into it for shmups, I just can’t go with sanwa for them, it just doesn’t “feel” right) thanks a lot in advance
Jonodori> my best guess is that we’ll have to wait for SE version or an amazon.co.jp exclusive for that

I’m sure the Xbox 360 one will be white, but we’ll just have to wait and see

Hi Kaz:
I’m not sure about the HRAP-EX.
The “RE mounting plate” is the part name of the “flat” mounting plate for LS-32.
See pics here:
http://www.arcadeshop.de/images/specs/arcade-ls32re-data.gif
Another mounting plate use on the LS-32 is a “S-shaped” mounting plate, and it’s called “SS mounting plate”.
See pics here:
http://www.arcadeshop.de/images/specs/arcade-ls32ss-data.gif
The length of shaft (up to bottom side of ball): 27.5 mm (1.083 inch).

To mount an LS 32-01, you don’t need a Dremel or a friend with a laser. All you need is a screwdriver and an “S” mounting plate.
on the HRAP EX ? just an S plate ? cool. (what i meat with the laser cutting is that I can prolly ask him to make the same shaft but with 5 added mm if those were lacking because of the way the LS32-01 would fit on the HRAP EX “botom panel”)
thanks everyone ! ^^

I though just the SA and SE versions had universal mounting plates.

HRAP V3 SA is back in stock at **Play-Asia **(limited supply)…
$149 with about 46 shipping to US (San Diego, CA).
what about the 360 version?
will be out this spring (acordding to MarkMan ^^)
Does the HRAP V3-SA support PS2 games via BC on PS3?
^ Yes.
nice, thanks!
Got in some games last night, and I dig the layout and feel of the stick as a whole. The little bevel on the front makes a good hand rest, and I got used to it pretty quickly. I’m gonna keep using this for a while. My kid digs it too.

Don’t call him a Rufus scrub.
It’s still a little lighter than I’d like, but not so much that it really moves around or anything. I play in my lap, so ymmv for tabletop play.
I did hit the Start button on accident once, even with it way over to the left. Dunno if I’ll put in a lockout switch yet.
The stick does fit into an Evo stick sack. I crammed mine in with a 15" MacBook like I usually do with the TE. The ‘wings’ make it a little tighter on the sides but it shouldn’t be a problem.
I cracked it open last night and took some interior pics.

The inside is pretty open, and it’s simple to get into (standard Phillips-head screwdriver, six screws on the underside). The top plate’s attached by six screws as mentioned in other posts, hidden on the topside by the vinyl sticker. Replacing the art on top might be doable via a mamemarquees adhesive vinyl print.

One tip: the quick disconnects on the buttons are on murder-tight in standard Hori fashion. If you try to pull the tight ones out by hand, using only the plastic covers, you can easily rip the plastic right off, leaving the QD still attached. If you pop open the top of the cover (shown below), it is pretty easy to work it off for the first time with needle-nose pliers.

Swapped out white for black and plugged the extra holes.

I’ve been wondering for a while, but did Hori convince Sanwa to make them another exclusive OBSF-24 color? They did it the first time with the Real Arcade Pro 2 SA’s exclusive Dark-Hai OBSF-24 buttons (gray plunger, black body for those not in the know) and it seems they did it again, with an entirely gray button. Am I correct or is that actually a new build of knock-off Hori 24 mm button with the plunger actually raised above the rim of the button?
