Question, what do you guys use to keep your screw terminals onto the stick? Not just the T5 stick, any in general, same thing with PCB’s.
Velcro.
Hot Glue
same.
ALso just finished my mod last night had to fiddle with wires to get all the directions working properly but I’m in love. JLF beats the hell out of the HORI stick.
I’ll post pictures when I get back home.
now that i’ve got all the goo gone i want to ask and i’ve read within the thread that if i want to use a Seimitsu LS-32 i have to get rid of the other mounting plate right? what size drill do i need to drill out the soldered parts
Does anyone have the pinout for the directions on the pcb. I started ripping out the wires for the pcb and didn’t write down what’s what. Plus the links for the pictures are dead ><;;;;. Bad day for modding.
I don’t remember them offhand but I know the ones that were in the pics didn’t work when I did my mod. I just did it by trial and error it’s not too hard only took me 5 min. to figure them out.
Tingboy showed me the pinout. I’m just having problems with a short on the pcb.
i had that happen when i was soldering new wires into the directionals. i used a razer blade to scratch in between the contacts so that no solder was touching another spot.
It’s weird though. If I probe ground and then the orange wire for the JLF harness it beeps. This is with the wire not even in the hole, but all of the other directions and buttons work perfectly.
i just got around to modding my t5 with a sanwa jlf. and it couldn’t have been easier. i used the stock screws. drilled four holes in the gate. and it was done. i used a new pcb to make things easy also.
the stick beeps at you?
Since the plexi isn’t happening, what’s the next best way to protect the artwork? I notice on a lot of T5 sticks I’ve seen the art fades away, even when people don’t play with it much (supposedly).
By “soldering points”, do you mean the 4 dirty looking spots on the hori T5 mounting plate? I tried drilling those but it’s kinda hard, and not much seems to be happening. Could you go into more detail about how you put in the LS-32? Thanks.
I’m a complete novice who wants to transform my stock t5 into a 360-compatible stick with sanwa parts that I can also use for GGPO on my computer.
So far I’m looking to order:
OBSN-30 x6 (threaded)
OBSF-24 x2 (threaded)
Sanwa JLF-TP-8T
Am I on the right track here for the parts? I’m a complete novice so I expect this to be an adventure, but I wanted to make sure the stuff I’m getting shipping to me is at least the right components. I’m going to start worrying about the padhacking after I get the hardware here.
I think you should go for the snap-in 30mms but otherwise you are good.
Ok, I only went for the threads since thats what it seemed to be on the OP’s pic.
Is there any easier way of doing this, btw? Is there a sturdy 360 stick out? I have an EX2 but it feels small and flimsy and I hear it’s a bitch to mod, moreso than the t5
I don’t have a problem dropping some cash if there’s something to buy
yes just drill those 4 spots but only drill through the mounting plate and stop before the actual panel. you can actually go into the panel a little it doesnt really matter. then put a flathead screwdriver in between the mounting plate and panel and pop it off with a hammer.
i wrapped my panel in clear contact paper with the art underneath. its water proof and doesnt wear down the art at all.
whered u get this contact paper ??
thnx
