Nice work getting the LS-32 in. I like them more than JLFs, but I’m too lazy to put that much work into my T5 =P
Hey V4MPIRO is there a height difference when mounting the Seimitsu like that? Is it the same exact height as if you were to have one in an HRAP2?
no is not, that’s why I keep the mounting plate in the LS32.
I cant get my sanwa buttons in, I need help I dremeled down the tabs and they fit perfectly but I cant get the screw on to fit… what the hell do I do now =(.
You’re going to need to elaborate a bit for us to help. Pictures would be best =)
Snap-ins for the win… but all jokes aside which buttons can’t you screw-in. Is it all of them?
I can screw in buttons in this order,
XOX
OXO
The X’s are the buttons i couldn’t screw in and the O’s are buttons I can (could also put them in the opposite), it’s not that the buttons are defective or anything the are just mounted too close together or the screw on part is too big.
I guess I could hot glue them in or something
It should be able to fit. You just need to tighten them one by one. Try using pliers if you want
I just used locktite, hahaha, I but the stick is modded, had to use adhesive remover on the panel that residue was nasteh. Thanks for all the help guys!
The last thing i have to fix is the dame start and select I didnt get new buttons, and I couldn’t find QDs small enough to fit, I’m going to have to solder them, which wont be too hard.
hey vampiro. when wiring the buttone does it matter which button prong is the ground?
No it does not matter.
what kind of wires did you use?
I used Copper wire, I don’t remember the gauge, about the same as the ones on my jlf wire harness.
Are the yellow buttons OBSF-24?
Hey, v4mprio, I just got my t5 in the mail and I’m looking to put a Sanwa JLW-UM-8 Bat Handle Joystick into it. Because I prefer a bat handle as opposed to a ball handle for MvC2. I’m wondering if it is possible to mount the JLW-UM-8 the same way you did the JLF? I can’t tell from the pictures of the joystick if there is room for the screw to be moved over to line up with the holes in the t5 mounting bracket. thanks
I modded my T5 stick the same way (though I swapped the T5 PCB for a mad catz 360 PCB) so I might as well at least give my input.
The JLW doesn’t really match up as well as the JLF does. Honestly, though I know it’s a price difference, I would just go with a JLF because it’s way less hassle, it’s practically made for it and the worst you have to do for modding anything on the JLF is drilling the tabs out on the gate so the screws can go through. It was my first real joystick mod and as such was incredibly simple.
Plus the JLF is a bit nicer.
yeah i think i will go with a JLF, ill just get the bat-top and adapter that lizardlick sells and put that on there. thanks for your reply.
^ Have you ever used a JLF before? If not you’ll notice it’s super soft when compared to an I/L Eurostick/Happ Competition. It feels weird when trying to do Sentinels fly/unfly and AHVBs etc. What I would suggest is taking the spring out and stretching it. After stretching it put it back together and try it out. Repeat until you find that the stick has the right resistance.
one last question to T5 owners. will happ competition buttons fit in this? possibly without removing the tabs that are in the button holes? i like the feel of the convex happ buttons more than the sanwas.
