Glad my tutorial is helping you. If your gonna use the original nuts, then youll HAVE to use metric. Your looking for M3 thread, and length wise, just measure the original bolt that came in the t5 stick. At minimum it should be that same lengh… But you could use standard sizes as long as you use the nuts that come with the standard threaded screws.
LS56 not fit on stock hole on T5 stick MP
and restrictor from LS56 not fit to Hori /Sanwa
microswitch have different arrangement, they are more tightly arranged.
PCB with micro from LS55-01 or LS56-01 is smaller (2mm) than JLF-TP8Y
would it be possible to get pics? Im thinking of trading my one of my JLF’s for a LS56(-01) and putting it in my t5 stick. Would be nice to know what to expect. If all else fails, i could always rip the T5 mounting bracket off like i did for the LS32 a page back.

Well im pretty much done with my t5 stick mod, here is a link with the 4 pics I took of it. Sorry for the bad pics they were taken with my phones camera. I just need to repaint it as that shitty krylon fusion started to chip on me.
Sorry to pull this thread out of the depths of page 4, but I have a question and it’s better to post in an old thread then to make a new one so…
I was wondering if anyone has tried modding this stick so that the start and select buttons are NOT in the upper right hand corner of the stick where you can accidentally hit them? I’d like to move them to the middle of the stick. You think arthong would make a plexi like that?
I think it might be easier to put them in front, and just omit those in the plexi
dam thats a nice ass t5
Damn man, these sticks are so customizable its too good. Can’t wait to get my hands on it. Will be a lot of work but it will clearly be worth it. Thanks.
Thanks…I was gonna keep it but my friend bought it as soon as it was made. The vinyl dye still stunk like acetone.
Wont be alot of work, just takes some time and patience.
nice paint job and mod dude, you know which thread I can check out for painting tips and guides. I see several of them but I don’t know where to get started
aggrastat, that stick is awesome
Toxic- He used vinyl dye which works on plastic without much prep work. It actually soaks into the plastic instead of coating it.
Agg- Out of curiosity, what brand of V.dye did you use? Did you pic it up from a major chain store?
I’m trying to decide whether I want to dual mod my T5 stick with the ps2 board that is in there with a hacked 360 pad, or get a Cthultu board and a hacked 360 pad. But I do know that I’m going to have to use a dpdt switch for my dual mod. If I mod with Cthultu board, I can’t use the IMP board. I play Tekken and if you press Start and Select at the same time when playing Tekken, it automatically quits the game and sends it back out to the main menu… Can’t have that.
Realyst- I know what you mean about tekken. Come on September. whether to go ps2 or ps3 is entirely up to you. If you still play games on your ps2,dc or any other game systems you can use a converter i would keep it ps2/360. I hate having a stick that cant be used on all the systems i own. But thats just me.
AJ - I can’t wait for Tekken. I am taking off 11 straight days of vacation the week after it comes out so I can get at it lol.
I don’t play fighting games on the ps2, so I may just use a cthulhu, but what did u do for the double cords in regards to case? Did you have to drill an extra hole in the case or make the existing hole bigger? I want it to look clean and I planned on using those plastic pull ties to keep them together. But as far as the case though, I haven’t thought about it. Can you take a picture of how it looks?
Damn, 11 days. Nice! Its gonna be pretty sick when that game comes out. Still have to try and enjoy KOF though. lol
I used the existing cord hole on the t5 case. I just didnt put the part of the ps2 cord that has the big plug in the hole. Both wires will fit comfortably. In fact i wrapped the cords with electrical tape only where the hole in the case is. So they fit snug and wouldnt be whipping around. Also i just twisted the two cords together and put afew zip ties to keep them together

Awesome. I think I will try that. I have a Pelican convertor and Real convertor so I can do the ps2/360 mod. Thats the cheaper option because I won’t have to buy the cthulhu board. I will be using a teriminal switch also so if I want to change it, I can without too much of a hassle.
I’m talking like a know-it-all, but I’ve never modded before lol. But I’ve been doing so much reading, I am almost positive that I can successfully do this mod.
Its not hard at all. Just takes time, tools and patience.
Ok, I’ve had a T5 stick for ages, didn’t really like it so now I’ve decided to mod it. I’ve got a few questions which will probably sound like complete noob questions, but I just don’t want to mess it up or order the wrong parts or something.
I’ve seen people take out the two leftmost buttons and just have the six button layout, are those buttons just removed and then filled with a hole plug and new artwork will fit over properly?
Can I get a JLF-TP-8T and just take the mounting plate off of it, turn the pcb and put it in? Or people recommend a different stick?
I want to put in a MC Cthulhu board so I can play PS2, 3 and Wii games. Does anyone have a link to a tutorial for doing this with this particular stick?
Thanks for reading.
