Wow very nice! Did you put the art yourself? Is there lamination or is it plexi?

I put the art on. Went to kinkos and asked them to print it on regular printer paper, then laminated. Cost a total of about 3$, 1$ for the print and 2$ for the lamination. Came out with no air bubbles.

That’s not fair, my whole stick art was pretty much covered w/ air bubbles…I thought you can peel the front off but turns out that’s how it is & the guys just messed up…I spend $8 for the lami-label…

Im thinking of re-doing but dont feel like paying anymore on just stick art…I’ll probably repaint the stick first…

so i was about to put in a led mod, who knows where the power is on the pcb and ground for the buttons not the stick. thanks in advance

is there a common ground

What do you guys use to drill through the plate and countersink? All in one bit, two separate bits, masonry, standard power drill?

All I have is a 14V drill and I don’t imagine it having the power to drill through the thick steel plate, doubt I have any bits that are up to the task either and it doesn’t seem cost efficient to go spend $20 on bits for one drill job.

Is there a place I can take the plate to get some holes drilled, Home Depot/Lowes?

ill probably be doing this mod in a acouple of weeks. Just afew questions though. Material wise how much will this cost me? Can someone put a link to the kind of QD’s I will need. What size of bit is used to dril the holes on the sanwa stick gate? And as far as grinding/filing down the button holes, will they rust up? Should i spray them down with something?

Ok one more quick question that hopefully someone can answer, I found a few people on Craigslist that may be able to come by and drill my T5 panel for me. I plan on getting 4 holes drilled through the panel to mount a standard flat mounting plate as seen here marked in red. I need to know the diameter of the screw/hole that needs to be drilled, and also the diameter for the countersink so they know what bits to use.

Looking on Akihabara the holes in the mounting plates seem to be 4.8mm? Can someone who’s done the same mod provide a part # for the screws they used, or the specs?

If I put a Sanwa JLF in there, is it going to be the same height as on a HRAP?

I’m asking because I notice the T5 plate has those 4 things sticking out.

i was wondering would it be possible to dual mod the T5 with the T5 PCB and this PCB?
http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?sku=802511

My T5’s been sitting here getting no action, so I thought I might as well dual mod it so I can use it x360 n ps3 with an adapter.

I’m very close to finishing this mod, but I’ve reached a stopping point.

I’m not sure how I’m supposed to wire the joystick the PCB…

I’ve got a Seimitsu LS-32 going in there, but I’m not sure where to solder the wire harness to.
The wire harness I have is the one with the black wire in the middle. (I saw that mentioned earlier)
There’s like 8 wires coming from the PCB and only like 5 on the wire harness.

Anyone wanna help me out? I can’t get pics at the moment, but I’ll try to get more details if needed.
Also, I’d prefer not use a terminal. I’m probably going to have to desolder the joystick wires from the PCB and replace them, so I might as well stick with what I have now.

I was wondering would I need to buy the mounting plate to hook up a Sanwa JLF Joystick to the T5? I plan on buying from
http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=178891
but I wanna make sure if I need it or not to save money.

No. You don’t need the plate to mount it on the T5.

Thanks for the quick reply! I’m thinking of taking out the pcb and dualmodding it with a psone pcb and a x360 retro arcade stick so that I can use it on the 360 and just use my adapter for PS3. Will update as i progress.

I’ll be modding my t5 with sanwa/jlf. Couple quick Q’s:

  1. Can i daisy chain the grounds, and if so what ground should I use as a start?

  2. If I want to dual pcb mod this thing, where is the 3.3 or 5v on the t5 pcb, if there even is one?

Thanks a million if anyone can answer.

Oh yeah, one more question. Do I have to get the wiring harness too?

anyone here willing to mod my tekken 5 stick for me and how much?
