Hori Real Arcade PRO V3 "SA" Thread - (Available Now! Check OP!)

To those who has used this stick (or Vewlix cabinets), is the slanted wrist area an improvement over flat surface ones? Some posts mentioned that it needs some getting used to, but did it become a positive feature in the long run? Will be using this stick for shooters mostly, so my right hand is mostly stationary during gameplay.

For shooters, your bigger concern should be whether you can fit an LS-32 in it, for which I’d say get a TE or mod an SE since I believe it’s been mentioned that you can’t mount an LS-32-01 in the V3/VX at the correct height.

Planning on using LS-32, though I can always add some spacers and use a shaft extender.

Might be more trouble than it’s worth. Last I checked, the mounting bracket on the V3-SA was for the Sanwa flat plate. Also, spacers + shaft extender makes the stick feel different from what it would normally.

Yeah, now that I looked over it, you might be right. Disappointing though about the LS-32 support. Was thinking of getting the VX when it’s released. Doubt there will be changes. But I’m still curious about the wrist area to those who’s had experience with it.

Should be the same experience as with an SE.

Pre-orders are up.

PS3 - Blazblue Continuum Shift HRAP

360 - Blazblue Continuum Shift HRAP

If these are Sanwa, I’m totally on it.

I don’t like production sticks with art on them. I think the balck and white HRAPV3SAs look much better than this blazblue version.

Any rumors of Hori releasing these in the U.S.?

it’s confirmed by Amiami store that the Blazblue CS HRAP v3 is all Sanwa.

If it’s like last year, Hori will wait until late Spring/mid-summer before they announce a US release. IF it’s coming.

Kind of hoping on a US-exclusive color or a re-release of the black V3 SA with red accent lines. Was disappointed the 360 got the white color scheme but the black with red accents grows on you…

Dunno if it’ll happen, though. Depends on the economy.

I wonder what the sales have been like for sticks this year? I don’t think they could have been as high as they were last year…

depending on the stock stick you can mod it to feel like an ls32.

Is it possible to mod the faceplate with custom artwork?

Yes, however it’s similar to the MadCatz SE where it’s a ‘sticker’ that’s covering the screws.

I’d probably get an LS-55/56 or if I must have an LS-32, this mod (http://erwin1.blog64.fc2.com/blog-entry-14.html).

You sure about that? It seems that’s only to mount it on a HRAP3, which has a different mounting bracket than the HRAP.V3.

As far as I know, the LS-56/55/33 MS and LS-32 RE plates will mount anything that mounts a JLF. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Did he use one of those? Couldn’t tell since my Japanese is rusty. I thought he was using a custom plate since the HRAP3 uses a different mounting bracket that’s designed to mount the JLF without the need for a mounting plate.

But the LS-32(-01) with RE Mounting Plate on non-Universal Mounting Bracket will be super short.

He used a Seimitsu RE Mounting Plate.
Modified his LS-32-01 Base by -5mm.

Looks like the guy is using the LS-32 RE plate, the flat one.
