JP/US SFC/SNES controllers didn’t work on pal systems unless you modded it a bit. (but aside from that, yea, I don’t recall controllers being region locked, ever)
And once again I ask, has no one actually been able to remove the top panel and change the art?
Im curious as well, doesnt look like it theres alot of room on the panel as it’s more wide than tall. It doesnt look like you can completely remove the panel either.
I figure it’s like the SE where the screws are hidden under the art.
I feel for ya. My V3-SA came with screws just as badly stripped as yours. I haven’t needed to take the JLF out yet though.
I have had to remove screws that were stripped this badly before though. You can drill them out but it’s not really pretty. What I usually do is take a cutting tool (Dremel) and carve a slot all the way across the head of the screw. You can then use a large slotted screwdriver to remove the screw, and even reuse the screw that way if you don’t have a replacement. Nice thing about slotted screwdrivers: they don’t strip!
Little-known (I guess) fact: Phillips-head screws are designed to strip. They’re supposed to cam out under torque to prevent the driver from screwing up the threads or tearing off the head of the screw. This becomes a pain in our collective asses when someone builds something using these screws with power tools or machines that aren’t properly set up to stop twisting when they need to.
To access the screws you’d need to tear off the stock art. I haven’t wanted to change out the art yet, so I haven’t removed the stock laminate.
Yeah i’m not touching the stock art. This is one stick I’m leaving alone…kind of in that Namco category almost for me.
Any word when the white 360 one is coming out?
Still, shouldn’t be hard to take measurements of the art as well as the relative positions of the buttons. Thinking of doing the obvious and making a proper Vewlix template for these.
Just got put up on Play-Asia as a pre pre-order

Nice find…Thanks for that.
I already posted a thread on it awhile ago (since it’s the xbox 360 version)
also the preorders aren’t open yet.
EDIT:
actually, looking at the time stamps you beat me too it, well done
For those of you that have used this stick and the new TE stick, what is the most noticeable difference and advantages/disadvantages of these two sticks? Im gonna buy one of the two and im kinda leaning to the HRAPVA but i really want to know what you think first.
thanks.
Read the thread on the new TE “S” stick and form your own opinion.
Generally speaking, the response to the new design seems to be mixed. I don’t own it myself, and frankly don’t have the desire or spare cash to do so now, but it looks like the new design isn’t going over as well as the original did last year.
(Granted, I think most of us got what we wanted last year and are happy with it. At any rate, there still seems to be ample supply of both Round 1 and Round 2 MC TE sticks online. They’re hardly extinct and Markman confirmed the R2 is still in production for the time-being…)
Whether it’s elevated expectations or people not liking the new case design (the main reason I passed on it besides $$$), there is a dislike among some for the feel of the TE “S” stick on palms. Some people are complaining about sharp edges on the faceplate in addition to the fact that the new artwork isn’t as easy to remove as last year’s model.
As for the HRAP VA, I gather the response is more positive. Most owners seem to like the way it feels. Again, I don’t own the stick myself, but that’s my impression. My one concern – and this is verified by people who own the stick – is that it’s not easy to mod for artwork alterations. The VA artwork is basically glued on like the TE “S” artwork is. The VA is a comfortable-feeling stick but is definitely not as mod friendly as the HRAP 2 and 3 were… It’s somewhat like the Tekken 5 (American) stick where you have to literally rip off the artwork and do some serious scrubbing before you slap on new art unless you’re okay with a thick sticker under laminated art…
nice thanks for your response.
Cool.
Not mentioned on SRK before you.
White balltop and buttons…? -_-
really considering picking one of these up. they look great.
That Blazblue version looks sexy.
It better be all Sanwa for that price!
Does that picture just advertise the game or does it come with it?
