Where the hell are people getting the impression that controllers are region locked? They haven’t been ever since the 6-bit/4th generation of consoles (NES/Famicon had some “region locking” only because the latter had controllers that were permanently attached to the system).
Alright thanks alot guys, and sorry for the noob question it’s just that I wasn’t 100% sure.
So can anyone at least give the measurements of the art piece on the control panel, along with measurements to the positions of the holes for the stick/buttons?
I apologize if this has been covered already but is there a wiring diagram for the v3-sa pcb? I have a friend looking for one (it kinda seems pretty obvious from the top pics but I have no idea what it looks like underneath)
Is this stick worth the money? Or should I just buy the older model/version?
and will I ask is it worth the money, I mean it in performance wise.
performance wise its going to be exactly the same if you go with the hrap sa/se versions. the buttons and joystick will be exaclty the same, but what it comes down to is weight (v3-sa will be about 1lb lighter), button placement (vewlix vs astro, start button placement on v3-sa), and the rest area for your wrists.
Just open it up and check the JLF yourself (or at least post pictures of it here).
That is the second Dust Disc.
One Dust Disc goes on top of Control Panel.
Other Dust Disc goes below Control Panel.
The inside one is optional.
Just remove it.
Out of stock makes me cry.
Want one so bad.
I still have a feeling that Hori MIGHT do a release of the HRAP V3 SA in the fall.
Nobody expected it for the HRAP 3 SA.
Stranger things can happen…!
Frankly, I think MC to an extent went in the wrong direction design-wise this year.
We’ll see if switching blueprints helps Hori!
My one concern about the V3 SA is the mod-ability. It just doesn’t look like a mod-friendly stick. Other than that, the black stick and the prototype white stick shown at game cons look very nice.
I’m hoping Hori does an American run of the black stick or an American-exclusive (PS3) V3 SA.
I hate it when Japan/Asia get all the exclusive joystick variants!
P.S. – Yeah, it does look like the V3 SA IS getting hard to find now!
They already comming out with a amazon edition one for ps3 it has the blue where the current red areas are in the current v3 sa also the all white 360 v3 sa comes out soon as well
I don’t think we went the wrong way design wise. I think we went the Un-Hori route. I’m not about all that color change thing. The stick has been out for a year (TE) so I thought it was about time to change it… and not just graphics/colors either.
Plus you guys haven’t seen what else MC will release this year. Wait til E3 and beyond.
^:shake: Aww shit!
The original TE run was a homerun in my book, I didn’t think a major release can-get-it-at-gamestop stick would wail it out of the park like that. It was awesome-- very stylish, simple, clean-- my hat went off to it.
But I can’t say that the new TE doesn’t make me throw up in my mouth a little.
BTW I’m not in bed with Hori or MC, I’m just calling it like I see it. No offense intended.
With or without Microsoft’s flamboyant colored buttons, the new template art is too busy, imho. The black version looks better though, I must say. Most of the TE’s were very stylish in terms of minimalist art layout and sleek edge work; the whole thing looked like a piece of art/hot rod/etc in a way that is missing in the revamped model for Super. I sound like a dead horse but, again, all IMHO.
Also, I can’t say I’m that blown away by this new Hori either, it’s sleek, but looks like it’s obviously held back by pricepoint. I want the Cadillac, and I’m glad someone wants to sell me one.
That’s why we’re still making Round 2 TE sticks alongside the Super ones. <3
Glad we know it’s all love on SRK <3333333333
The round 1ns are nice to I like the white sides . Mark ya should sell diffrent color bezels you guy already made orange, black, violet, red, and white. And a all white round 2 would be sweet as well all the white te’s were limited
i still wanna try the harp v3 sa too bad u have to import them from japan and u said the vlx ain’t worth it so I’ll definetly pass on that one:)
You mean HRAP VX-SA.
Anyway, has anyone tried changing the top panel art on one of these things?
Yes, but you won’t be able to take out Joystick without first removing Ball Top.
So do that first by unscrewing the Ball Top while holding Shaft still with Flathead Screwdriver on bottom in slot.
That is not fun.
So are you saying now that the noise is coming from Metal Washer?
It is being lifted up by the silicone grease?
