hey syn, can we get a VLX template with the screw holes as well? I’m talking to someone who might be selling custom plexis/new metal panels for the VLX.
redhatyellow i am the one who you are talking to, however after looking at that panel i think i probably should have the stick myself or access to one before i try to make some replacement panels. Unless someone can explain to me about how the screws work on this panel because it is really interesting how the screws are welded down to the panel itself. Also the panels would not be stainless steel unless i got a big enough order for them because stainless would go for about 60 to 80 or maybe even more, I am not too sure.

I just got my HORI VLX 360 from Japan. There are not too many places to get information about custom panel art for the VLX series. Please keep this thread alive.
I’m in the process of buying a plexi for my VLX and then will see if the buttons will hold it down in place.
Someone would make a lot of money if they offered custom art/plexis like tek-innovations does. Lots of hungry VLX owners out there… with money to burn.
Hey, syn13. Really like the work you did on your VLXs. Have you managed to revamp your VLX template? I’m looking to swap out the art on my VLX and don’t mind trying to make my own template, but if the template already exists I’d rather not duplicate the effort.

So I made a plexi for my VLX. Decided to use all the available space for the plexi, which meant going past the usual template. But since i’m a template artisit, i like having lots of art space. upgraded to 20x6.5 inches of art space. made some screw holes to ensure that the plexi stayed down…when i decide what art to use i’ll post again…

That looks awesome, how much does the plexi jut out? Is it noticeable visually or physically, i.e. chaffing on arms? Amazon just got them in stock so I was all over it like ink on paper. Been wanting one especially after seeing people modding this into a full arcade cabinet style stick, stand, coin slot and all.
