Hori Real Arcade Pro Premium VLX Template Thread

well, i sanded down the edges to a nice bevel so you can barely notice the plexi…and as for the size, i made it bigger than the normal panel to get more art into it

I honestly think $40 is selling yourself short. people should easily be willing to pay more for a vlx plexi.

i think the most i’d charge would be like 50 shipped, since most of this is hobby stuff, and it’s fun…lol. If anyone wants a plexi shoot me a PM and we can work something out…i’m thinking that people will also need art printed out since it’s so big and the biggest you can easily get printed is 11x17 and the panel is 19 inches.

How did you get the screws in there did you cut out the little hole on the steel panel?

I drilled out holes with a hand drill…i don’t know if people would be willing to do their own holes once they get the plexi.

ah i see i can drill them myself

Has anyone taken off the sides or took the stick apart fully? I’m tempted to wrap the whole stick in carbon fiber (3m di-noc). So far I got half of it wrapped.

This is the result so far. I think i’m going to do a full wrap soon when I get my hands on some sanwa clear buttons. I’m coming from the drift/car scene hence the over kill in cf lol.

and a shot w/ my swag to go with the stick lol

Been wondering if I should just merge this with the Art Template Thread.

theres not much art on this thread, more discussion…

Its definitively not for kid  !

Does anybody know where I can print the clear sticker like that came with the stick? I’d like to print something up to stick on it while retaining the silvery reflection.

And yeah, this thread can’t die! We have so much canvas for art on the stick.

Work in progress. I still need some room to make PS3 labels fancy. Font for the buttons are not final.

I need a nice little pattern to surround the buttons and dustwasher area.

please tell me you’ll be doing a better rendering job on the final…

I’m far from done. I didn’t even trim the left portrait off from the stock picture yet.

How does this look so far? Still got some stuff to throw on. Thinking of using the black/yellow sanwas too.

i’ve found that those things are extremely thin and you can push it through.
or wiggle it and it breaks. the TE screw fits in fine.

Yea I found out how i am going to do it. I finished the measurements of this panel last night and will be having a test panel done soon so i can test fit and soon after VLX replacement panels will be able to be ordered

hey i was wondering if any of you guys would know what type of paint i could use to cover up a scratch on my stick thx

Just took a look at what you said here again, did you say the pem nuts can actually be pushed through leaving a hole.
If that is so then i may be able to do plexi covers after all.

Hmm… I would try flat enamel paint. Any hobby store should carry a brand like Testors. Use a fine tipped brush and you should be able to fill that in and make the scratch less noticeable.
