seeing all of this super sexy artwork makes me want to go out and get a V3SA.
that’s my next stick on the list as well…
if my stock hits 7 bucks i’m going to buy myself a V3SA and if my stock somehow gets to 10 bucks i’ll get a VLX…lol.
I’m so jealous of your Rider Belts =c
I’ll be by one of these wednesdays just to check it out, it interferes with my workout schedule though…so hmmmm…
Wish I actually remembered to pre-order W and OOO’s belt. Sorta regretting now getting those DX belts lol.
Yeah man, check out the casuals. Good thing is that there’s a good number of players to fill in SSFIV, MvC3, Arcana Heart 3 and Blazblue. I suck at fighters but it’s all good haha.
As for applying surface cleaner or even windex, I’d think that you want a clean surface before apply an adhesive graphic on top of anything just to ensure that it will stay on for a long time.
:3 Someone I met a few weeks ago sold me a NIB KR-Birth Belt for 40$ shipped
Where are all the VLX owners? I want to see some custom art going on in this thread! I guess when you pay $300 for a stick you dont want to touch it… lol
It’s such a high quality top-panel. When you see it in person, and hold it in your hands, you will know where that extra money went! :bgrin:
I own one, but still… custom art is always more unique and no matter how nice it is… gotta be unique!
That’s a good deal! I haven’t looked into the recent secondary Rider belts, are the power ups drawn at random(drill, crane arm and etc)? Liking Birth better than Accel at the moment, hope he gets a second form because Kamen RIder Yen = Win!
In fear of totally destroying the original art, it took me a while to make a graphic that I would permanently stick with. I actually made several graphics before deciding on one. Though I only know of 2 people locally that owns the VLX, it’s rather quite boring seeing same art, much like how I was so close to changing my V3 SA the first night that I got the stick, luckily I held out to see what was in store for me plus the V3 SA was a trial of how much I liked it.
I don’t own a VLX (yet), but I was wondering if its possible to make a plexi glass cover so you can swap out the artwork anytime you want.
Not possible with the stock plate unless you’re willing to drill through the original metal (face)plate, even if you do drill new holes to secure the plexi-glass, the (face)plate already sticks out.
The only other solution I’ve seen is this. You need to fabricate a new plate that accommodates 6 screws and bolts to fit underneath the VLX’s case so that the plexi-glass will fit the clearance difference whereas the original faceplate sits on top of the VLX.

Not at Art’s Hobbies… apparently the VLX is too wide for his machine lol.
Honestly, thats pretty hype. Some serious dedication and work there to mod out that VLX. I really do like the stock vewlix style though, I like my sticks and designs to be mostly “sleek” and minimalistic. I feel overly graphic sticks look less and less professional, although I really do like your Yoko mod for your VLX
Ah, the perfect stick for dakimakura art:

lol nice, forgot that the Dakimakura stuff actually give the template a nice “fit” lol!
I’m confused over Ryougi’s gender now but then again, I think I last left off at movie 3 or 4 where her split personalities parted.
This thread cannot die.
We need more VLX owners creating custom art! COME ON, GUYS!
I’m on a mission here
My first step was to finally peel away the oh-so-pretty stock sticker:

The stainless steel panel underneath is actually really nice just as it is:

Now I need to figure out how I’m going to get a plexi cut for this beast.
Or if I should just apply the print out (adhesive backed) directly to the stainless steel panel…?
The steel panel doesn’t have screws:

Hmm, always thought that that metal plate had a thin print/layer of print on top. Good job man! Hope you figure out a solution, if it helps, this link shows progress of a dude fabricating his own VLX plate with HRAP/Sega City button layout + plexi-glass attachment.
Screw-on buttons woudn’t be enough to hold the whole panel?
