Hori Real Arcade Pro FAQ for all versions

Yessir, those SR-110 covers are very nice! :bgrin:

Thanks for the info though jdm714. Here’s to hoping it’ll fit! Also, I hope you’re enjoying your Hori Real Arcade Pro 1. That mirror top looks very nice! I take it yours is a version B with the universal mounting bracket for Japanese sticks?

HRAP ver.B is the one without Universal Mounting Bracket.
And is the non-Mirror Top.
Laugh.

Oh what?
You knew I got HRAP from The Realyst?

Haha, of course! I browse the Trading Outlet almost as much as I linger on Tech Talk!

Also, apologies for the confusion. I’ll have to remember that one. I think you said somewhere that the Hori Real Arcade Pro 1 ver.B had the same mounting bracket as the RAP3. Did anything else not come with the universal mounting bracket that was considered a HRAP? I’m thinking that everything besides the licensed HRAP3s and the Arcana Heart 2 HRAP had the universal mounting plate.

HRAP Suggoi! Arcana Heart 2 does not have Universal Mounting Bracket.
Same as HRAP 3.

Am I reading your Post correctly?
Can’t tell if we agree.
Laugh.

But it does have the Hex Screws like cool HRAP.

Ok, here we go.
HRAP with no Universal Mounting Bracket.

PlayStation 2
HRAP ver.B
HRAP Amazon Edition
HRAP SA

PlayStation 3
HRAP 3
HRAP 3 Amazon Edition

PlayStation 2 with Game License
HRAP Soul Caliber III
HRAP Arcana Heart
HRAP Suggoi! Arcana Heart 2
HRAP Fate/unlimited codes

PlayStation 3 with Game License
HRAP Street Fighter IV
HRAP BlazBlue

Xbox 360 with Game License
HRAP Konamistyle Otomedius Georgous

Yeah, you mostly did, at least about the Suggoi! Arcana Heart 2 Hori Real Arcade Pro.

I didn’t know that the Amazon edition HRAPs didn’t have the Universal Mounting Bracket either, same with the HRAP SA. No wonder the HRAP SE was sought after more!

Good information as usual jdm714. Thanks a bunch!

i just bought a HRAP 3 SA and was planning to switch out the stick with a ls 32. My problem is that the screws on the jlf wont budge. Does anyone have any suggestions to get these screws out?

Edit: i just removed the screws

I think it should be noted on the OP that the HRAP3 SA has access to the inside through the top panel. I’ve always hated about my HRAP2’s and regular HRAP3 that in order to do any kind of modding/repairs you have to go through the extra step of removing the bottom just to get to the top. Plus the nuts on the top panel are a hassel as well.

Is HRAP EX-SE pcb common ground? I’m thinking it’s not, but can anyone clarify?

it is not

Thanks spektrum. I was looking to dual mod one. The seimitsu parts looked tempting, but looks like that would have to wait till later.

So, I was playing on a modded Madcatz SE from release until the New Year, at which point I switched to a Hori 360 EX-SE that I got through the Amazon sale.

I was hella comfy playing on an SE, but the Hori joint is totally fucking with my wrists, man! I think it has something to do with the fact that the stick is completely flat with no real slope for my wrists, so they rest on the edge of the stick for marathon sessions. I thought it’d get better with time, but it’s a pretty persistent problem. A shame too, because I love the weight and the feel of the stick…

Anyone else kinda uncomfortable on their HRAP?

Not at all. I’m equally comfortable on my HRAP and my TE. I’m quite fond of both sticks.

just wondering if hori has discontinued making hraps for the ps2?

Any chance the FAQ on the first page will be updated to include the new V3-SA as well as other older variants that were missed (HRAP EX-SE)?

I just wanted to say that I bought a HRAP2 SA from someone here on the forums recently and its probably my favorite stick ever. It just feels so solid and well made. I’m thinking about putting some Seimitsu parts in just to try them out, never used them before.

I have one question though, I opened it up last night to check out the insides and the pcb wasn’t in the normal spot it usually is with HRAPs. Would this make it a huge pain to change out if the pcb ever crapped out on me?

are there any specs for the arcana heart 2 stick??

Opens from top like cool HRAP and TE.
Non-Universal Mounting Bracket.
Buttons soldered to PCB.

Tab on holes need to be grind for installing Sanwa and Seimitsu Buttons.

wouldn’t be suprised if hori stops making the old style hrap cases altogether.

jdm714. the stick is a sanwa jlf and not a hori stick right??
