Hori Real Arcade Pro FAQ for all versions

This should be part of the first post.

Wonder if this really matters…

Does it really matter or not if I were to solder the wires or use terminals/connectors on wires for sticks AND/OR buttons? Is there a major pros/cons factor besides the fact how soldering takes time/effort and terminals/connectors requires crimping to wires? Like the affect of electrical conduction, how it affects the stick’s or buttons’ responsiveness. Things like that.

The wires in an HRAP already have quick disconnects. Soldering is a waste of time/effort compared to quick disconnects if you need to do any kind of work on the stick such as replacing buttons or putting on plexi and artwork.

Yes, I’m very much aware of that. But I’m asking beside those facts.

RE: your edited post, No. It makes no practical difference.

Mushihimesama Hori stick, just an FYI comes with an LS-32 stick.

The stick is for Xbox 360.

Yup, that’s right.

oh cool. I’ve been tempted to pick that stick up. My Mushihime Sama Futari game is on its way from Play Asia and I plan on playing it with some LS32’s.

Hi,
Sorry if it is a beginner question,
What do I need to buy in order to swap de Sanwa joystick built-in into the HRAP2SA by a Semitsu LS-32? Do I have to buy any mounting plate, any cables or anything else?

You just buy a Seimitsu LS-32-01.
That is all, nothing else.

Why ls-32-01 instead of ls-32?
Does this stick come with an octogonal restrictor?

Does anyone have a PCB diagram for the HRAP3?
I want to drill a hole at the back of the case, I don’t want that huge box messing up my art. D:

You have HRAP 2 SA.
It is Common Ground, Wire Harness used to connect Joystick.

Seimitsu LS-32 does not have Joystick PCB; no Wire Harness used.
Seimitsu LS-32-01 has Joystick PCB; Wire Harness used.

If you use Seimitsu LS-32, then you will have to cut the connector from your Wire Harness off.
Then you Daisy-chain the Ground Terminals on your Seimitsu LS-32 together.
Then you connect wires from Wire Harness directly to Joystick Microswitch.

Seimitsu LS-32 comes with RE Mounting Plate (Flat).
Seimitsu LS-32-01 comes with SS Mounting Plate (S-shape).

If you mount Seimitsu LS-32, Shaft will be 5mm shorter than standard height.
If you mount Seimitsu LS-32-01, Shaft will be standard height.

If want Seimitsu LS-32 to be mounted standard, then have to buy Seimitsu SS Mounting Plate.
SS Mounting Plate will replace the default RE Mounting Plate on Seimitsu LS-32.
Then LS-32 will then be able to mount with standard Shaft height.

There is no Octagonal Main Guide for LS-32(-01).
But there is available a Circle.

If want Octagonal Main Guide, then there is available for Seimitsu LS-56(-01).
It also fits the Seimitsu LS-33, LS-55(-01).

So choose Seimitsu LS-32 or LS-32-01 depending on how much work you want to do.

Wow  Thank you for your instructions. I was going to buy an LS-32 without ask int this thread… :stuck_out_tongue:
Just one more question. Does the 8-way restrictor you mentioned earlier fit the ls-32-01? I though of buying this stick just because of it’s the best well-known stick from Seimitsu, but I test the NeoGeo Stick 3 that comes with the KOF Orochi for PS2, and I like it better than the HRAP2SA’s one, so I decide to swap the HRAP2SA’s stick. Anyway, the main purpose of my stick is 2d fighting games, what do you think about other Seimitsu sticks? (I’ve just read that ls-40 was installed into NeoGeo cabinets).
Again, thank you.

How about sticking a HAPP Perfect 360 Electronic stick into the HRAP 3? Is it possible, as I think it needs some kind of a power supply cable? I already put an IL Eurostick, but its diagonals suck like hell, so do the down diagonals of ALL possible Sanwas.I spent a fortune, trying every possible model, I even put a Seimitsu LS-32, and did not like it so much.4, 8 ways, blah blah, HAPP sticks do not need shitty restrictions, and are perfect for any game, especially Marvell vs Capcom 2 (so they say). When I got a Gt-0 gate for my Sanwa JLW-UM, it sucked like never before-basically, not a single good 360/720 turn.Which is best for Street Fighter 4, and what can I do? (Sorry for posing so many questions, but I cannot sleep normally, it drives me nuts.)

Will not fit.

If you can fit in the Perfect 360, then yes.
Just tap into the +5V.

HRAP 3 PCB Diagram here.

Hi,

I have been looking for a Hrap3 for a long time in Malaysia (It’s all sold out),

All I see is the Tekken6 Design Hrap 3 :frowning:

So guys is there any major difference between this one and the regular ?? (quick disconnects maybe ? )

HRAP Tekken 6 does indeed have Quick Disconnect for Buttons.

A difference between this and HRAP 3 is the Mounting Bracket.
For some reason, the Mounting Bracket on HRAP Tekken 6 is sideways.

Okey, so does this mean that this stick is easy to mod? I’m a n00b on this so…

Oh word! T6 stick is a REAL HRAP!
