Hori Real Arcade Pro FAQ for all versions

I suspect it’s the PS3 not the stick. The backwards compatibility on the PS3s leaves a lot to be desired.

Yup

I think so as well. Hope they release an updated/new/modded driver for the PS3 OS so it can read these things properly. Really shouldn’t be that hard…it’s a pretty simple driver. Oh, by firmware update I meant for the PS3, not the sticks.

what the best place to buy sanwa buttons online? by best i mean price-wise and their speed at shipping. i heard a lot of places take forever to ship items out, and i don’t want to wait like 3 weeks =/

check the “real arcade parts” section

I got mine from http://www.lizardlick.com/ and they came in under a week and I’m in Canada. They where very well packed as well. Highly recommended. :lovin:

I also wanted to ask you guys. I bought a HRAP3 mainly to use with my PC and it performs pretty well on CPS games but not so great with Neogeo games (especially KOF 98 where I can’t seem to pull off my combos and dashing takes 2 tries). I know fixt00l is also frustrated by this. The octagonal gate helped but its not perfect( I actually went back to the scare gate).

Should I have gone with a custom seimitsu based stick or can I swap the JLF for something else? The stick is awesome for 3d games but I don’t have a ps3. :wonder:

Neo Geo games are best played on Seimitsu sticks. You should be able to swap out the JLF for an LS-32-01

Thanks but I read that swapping a Ls-32 in a HRAP3 isn’t as easy as with the HRAP2.

Sony is shameful. And let’s not forget that Ps2 has two usb ports!

Ok, so I’m planning on buying some sanwa buttons from lizardlick’s website/store. I read TingBoy’s HRAP Modding Guide faq and it says if you use sanwa screw-ins, one of the buttons won’t fit the Square place or something like that. Which ones should I purchase for the easiest mod.

Sanwa OBSF-30 Pushbutton with Vertical Microswitch

Sanwa OBSF-24 Pushbutton with Vertical Microswitch

Sanwa OBSN-30 Pushbutton with Vertical Microswitch

Sanwa OBSN-24 Pushbutton with Vertical Microswitch

thanks in advance

Yeah, careful. The HRAP3 uses the HRAP1vB baseplate, so it can’t be fitted with a Seimitsu step plate without heavy and permanent physical modification.

You might just want the LS-55 or LS-56, also by Seimitsu, of course.

You’ll want to use Sanwa OBSF-30 buttons for the action buttons (square, triangle, X, circle, r1, r2) and Sanwa OBSF-24 buttons for the start/select buttons.

So how easily will an LS-32 fit in an HRAP1 version A?

Is there any special way I can remove the T5 stick’s artwork?

Nevermind, actually read the first page.

I have a new question tho. What’s reccomended? LS-32? LS-32-01?

LS-32-01 is much easier to install on a HRAP due to it using a PCB and a JLF-compatible 5-pin cable. On the “regular” LS-32, you connect the wires directly to the microswitches similar to HAPP sticks. LS-32 is better for Xbox 360 though due to the official controller not having a common ground.

Thanks muchly~<3

Nope. Just peel it off and use adhesive remover on any leftover residue.

If you need any help putting in a LS-32-01 in your HRAP1 vA or HRAP2, take a look at my HRAP2 tutorial. It covers putting in buttons and swapping the stick out for an LS-32-01

I have a question about the ball top on the stock JLF that comes with the HRAP2. Is it orange, red, or vermilion?

red.
