So nobody would recommend the dual slikstik?I need a double controller…
I like my HRAP 2. Got it in August, and been playing on it! I have not yet perfected how to use it, but I love it now! I went from 0 stick experience to loving my hrap 2 ;)!
i’d like to inform that the arcana heart hrap has buttons soldered to the pcb, just like the sc3 and t5 stick. i didn’t bother checking before i ordered my new parts, and was pretty disappointed.
Damn that sucks.
Thanks for the warning.
Thank you for the info, sir. Did you by chance get to see whether or not an LS-32-compatible baseplate is equipped, i.e. whether the baseplate looks like…
this (the plate on the left in each of the top 2 images)…

or this?

I ask because I’ve heard somewhere that the Arcana Heart HRAP is modelled after the HRAP 2. This information is not immediately essential to me so don’t bother checking if you don’t really want to but maybe it could one day go onto the first post of this thread, along with this new quick disconnect absence information.
Haven’t you bought your HRAP1b yet? Y’know, there are a few HRAP2s on ebay at the moment … it’ll be pretty pricey after postage from the States/customs duty though. :wasted:
What face plate is that in the first link, middle pic to the right of the mounting plate of the hrap1b? Is that compatible for a seimitsu ls-32-01 and know anywhere I can get it?
anyone know where i can get a us t5 hori stick tutorial with pics, the one posted on the first page has links to pics but the pics were removed?
I might make one similar to my HRAP2 tutorial in a few weeks since I just bought a T5 stick. Keep a look out for that. Otherwise, check this site out while you’re waiting
That should just be the standard LS-55 flat plate. I would guess that akihabarashop has it. You can use it with an LS-32-01 but the balltop will be much too close to the control panel surface and your fingers could feel crushed or cramped underneath the balltop, for one thing. Generally the LS-32-01 is mounted with the step plate or “SS plate” on the right in the top image, wherever possible.
Hi.
Are there any step-by-step guides or tutorials for adding your own picture underneath the faceplate for HRAP 2 or 3? Also looking for layout templates for HRAP 2/3.
First you need to peel off the HRAP2 sticker on the faceplate.
Then you can either print your art on…
- adhesive vinyl/lamilabel and stick it to the faceplate
or
- glossy photo paper, then put the art between the faceplate and lexan.
Thanks for the quick reply.
I’m assuming most people in the customs thread do it the 2) way?
And by lexan, you mean the ‘front part’ that already is a part of the RAP3 right? (sorry dumb question)
Yea, most custom sticks use Lexan.
No, the HRAP 1/2/3 does not have any lexan. It’s just a faceplate with some sort of an adhesive sticker stuck on top.
Is there ANY way to remove the SANWA joke and put a real fighter controller?HAPP Competition or Perfect 360?PLS!
I just bought a Hori 3 for my PS3 and it’s fan freaking-tastic. Only problem is when I go to tournaments I am going to want to use it, but the tournaments will most likely be using PS2s and not PS3s…different connection…is there any converters r adapters you guys heard of that can go from a ps3 USB connection to a regular PS2/PS1 connection?
Thanks
Ignoring the necessary drivers and interpretation protocols and everything, you could try using a Pelican converter backwards with a female-to-female USB adapter and a male-to-male PS2 adapter, but for that attempt you may need a fire extinguisher. (Actually, I can’t take credit for that one)
But seriously, as people here seem to say, you would probably have to install a DualShock PCB into your HRAP 3.
At early glance, I thought that Elecom converter listed here
http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/game/docs/20070213/ggl.htm
as a “USBtoPS/PS2” (you can search for that very designation or just look for the pictures of grey adapter-looking things 3/5 of the way down the page) was exactly that, but it turns out it has only a male USB connector and a female PS2 connector, so it would be no good to you.
yeah…
well I figured it out, I guess the HRAP3 is not made for ps2 games really…funny thing is that it works 99% of the time perfectly with games like SF3 and CVS2, but every once it a while it will read an UP input out of nowhere, or it will crash the game and return to title screen. Is there any way to achieve backwards computability and have it work properly with older games?
Hey
I emailed Sony support dept. and asked them to include a firmware update for joysticks such as HRAP3 in their next PS3 system update. Who knows what will happen, but, they emailed me a support #, so, if I see no progress I am going to keep calling. I suggest anyone who wants to use their HRAP3 with ps2 games on the ps3 emails them as well…linkies!

Please post a better link, more specific to this topic of firmware updates, if you find one!
Are the two joysticks the same? http://happcontrols.com/joysticks/competition_joy.htm http://www.starcab.net/product_info.php?cPath=219_68_149&products_id=588 Will any of them fit somehow the HRAP3, as this SANWA is a joke for fighters?
