Hori Real Arcade Pro FAQ for all versions

unless they’re shipping an elephant in there too that’s a huge ripoff, no reason not to post a wanted ad in the trading post instead

or get an easier-to-find hrap3 and slap in a dual shock pcb like many people have so far…

Sorry if i sound stupid or something but, It is known that there are 3 autofire (Turbo) rates on the Real arcade pro 3 (slow, medium and fast).

So, how is it possible to interchange between the 3 turbo rates?

Thanks in advance.

Here is another mod type that I haven’t seen before. I used formica to replace the sticker on my T5 and also cover up the unused button holes. The thread with an included tutorial is linked to below.

T5 Formica Mod

Some ebay online stores might still have the HRAP2 in stock, they often offer flat shipping rate. I just wish it wasn’t USD80 to Malaysia where I am

The search continues

ok ima sound like the biggest ass right now but… whats the difference? other then the pic on top of the stick… ;D leme know whenever:wgrin:

Read the first post of this thread plz.

OMG this Hori Reak Arcade Pro 3 sux, men, are out of your minds?I payed 170 euros, in order to ship it to Bulgaria, went 500 km away to receive it, 500 km back home, and this stick is totally useless for PC and MAME!I am talking about Mortal Kombat 1, Street Fighter 2, King Of Fighters 96…:annoy:Even simple fireballs and shoryuken fail, the buttons are extremely slow, this stick is worse than any $ 10 controller, I am so fu**ing sorry I was listening to the hails to Hori sticks.I bet any HAPP-based stick is way better, I have been playing in arcade machines for 10 years, and I just returned from one-I went to see if the problem is me:wasted: For 170 euros, I should have bought 2 Saulabi Arcade sticks, or the X-Arcade Dual joystick…I think I will sell it…Although this gives a nice feeling, even simple games fail due to the slow-reaction stick. It is so light, you have to use your fist, in order to get 360 degree turns…I do not play PS 3 games, dont know how it is for them. So, how is this possible, can anyone tell me!!!

I have 3 Hraps and i love them.

I just bought an HRAP2 and i need to order some Sanwa buttons from http://www.lizardlick.com/ and i needed to know if i need the 30 mm or the 24 mm ones?

30 mm are the action buttons (Square, Triangle, X, Circle, etc…)
24 mm are the start/select buttons

Thanks appreciate it.

No problem =)

Might be a stupid question but.

Just got my HRAP2 in for PS2 and I have a PS> DC converter and I was trying to play marvel and assist 2 was L1, not R2, any way I can fix this?

-SH

what converter do you have?

Total Control.

Do I need to order a Total Control Plus?

If I do, no big deal.
I got the first one for free.

-SH

ergh i forget

is it the on w/o a vmu slot? and a really long cord?

if yeah its mapped to l1 and r1

the one with tthe vmu slot is r1 r2
like it should be
(plus that one has a switch on the side where you can switch from r1 r2 and l1 r1)

^ Yeah, it doesn’t have a VMU slot.

off to go order a Total Control + from Play-Asia

Thanks, Shoo!

-SH

http://www.4triangles.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=1_22&products_id=38
ive bought from here before
shipped quick

Then I bet you are not a MAME fan…The joystick even fails to perform a double tap, I mean, VERY FAST.Slow sticks are useless in fighting games. Why are you all ignoring me, why not try to help me-170 euros I payed for the HRAP 3, this is the average monthly salary in my country…

Because many people have purchased the HRAP3 and have had absolutely no problems on PS3 or MAME.

Were you playing online when you ran into these problems? Everything lags when you play online. If you weren’t playing online, then how does your computer act when running MAME? Laggy or smooth?

It is also possible that you purchased a defective HRAP3. If so, try to exchange it for another one from your buyer. If you can’t, then I can’t really help you there =.
