Hori Real Arcade Pro FAQ for all versions

Nice MOD. Where’s you pickup the ball top and buttons from. Those are Seimitsu buttons right. (did you use the snap in or screw variety?)

i just got a quick question is the hrap 3 able to be played on ps2?

no hrap 3 is for ps3

I got air bubbles forming on the cling film on the top panel my hrap1b. How would I get rid of them and make them flat again?

You don’t; the protective film isn’t meant to be permanent. Just remove it already…

I have been having problems with my hrap2. when i play the R1 button would go on by itself without me pressing it and now the start button is acting up.I opened it up and everything looks fine but when you move the wires a certain way it stops but then it acts up again. can anyone help me.

make sure any unused wire is not making contact with the microswitches of the other buttons.

here’s my hrap2 full seimitsu mod:

i swapped case with a hrap1.

Thanks, i taped up the extra quick disconnects with black Electrical tape and it hasn’t
act up since.

Don’t know if this has been asked before, but is Hori really re-releasing HRAP2’s in September?

http://www.horistore.com/shop/left_search.php?category=2

I don’t read Japanese, but babelfish translation has the HRAP2 listed as being out of stock, but due back in September (anything else that is out of stock and not returning is listed as such). Or is that just a generic placeholder listing they haven’t bothered to update?

Hopefully some vendors around here will be ordering from them again when the time comes?

Is it possible to swap a Sanwa JLW joystick into the HRAP3? or would that require some heavy modding? I noticed the JLF in my HRAP3 has a short PCB connection cable. And if it’s not an easy mod, are there any circular restrictors for the JLF?

Pretty sure you are looking at:

this thread, page one, post one, line one

if you are talking about the two images above the HRAP:SA, notice the price. way too cheap to be an actual controller. most certainly they are replacement/component parts

No, I was not looking at those. I know what those are.

Look lower, at the entry that’s third from the bottom. It’s the HRAP2, 8279 yen, and in the bottom left corner of that specific entry, below the picture, the kanji reads something about the 9th month (9???)?(someone confirmed for me that it says due in September).

Also, apparently that first one is a wrist pad so as to not damage your wrist (or more importantly, the stick’s casing  )

When i had google translate it into English it’s said “It is September due in” But still I’m not sure what it means.

Doh. You’re right. Google’s*translated page does in deed say “It is September due in.” Whoever spotted that has one keen eye. All I saw was the yyyy/mm/dd column

here’s my all sanwa hrap 1b:

i think white and red is sexy

Did you repaint that? I coulda sworn HRAP1b had a black base.

I’m thinking of buying a HRAP3. The only problem I have is that I don’t have a PS3, so I’m mainly going to be gaming on my PC/MAME. I’ve read that it isn’t PS2 compatible and I do have a ps2 with SF games somewhere that I can no longer find. My only problem with buying a HRAP3 is that it won’t work on a PS2 if I do decide I want to use the stick on a PS2. Do you guys think I should purchase the HRAP3 for $99, or should I wait out to try to find a HRAP2?

i just swapped cases with the hrap2.

I don’t understand the reasoning behind replacing the start/select buttons with Sanwa OBSF-24’s. It’s not as if the start/select stock buttons are unusable, as you don’t press them nearly as much as the 30mm pushbuttons. But that’s just my opinion.

People usually change them out because…

A) they hate that bright yellow (I know I do)

or

B) aesthetics. Matching action and start/select buttons make your stick look oh so much better =)
