Hori Real Arcade Pro FAQ for all versions

octagon plate yes, circle no. JLF don’t have circle gates.

thats the Hori FS3 for ps3. Its cheap cuz it uses all hori parts, no sanwa/seimitsu stuff in there.

Right. I’m kinda new to that thing

What about the buttons? Easily swappable stuff?

Sweet thanks!

Yes buttons are easily swappable, you just unplug the quick disconnects and plug them into the new buttons.

Here’s a really silly question:

Seeing as HRAP1s&2s are a-way-a-da-dodo (extinct, lol), is there going to be a FORWARDS compatible converter (i.e. to use 3s on a PS2)?

Sad, silly question, yes, but dammit - those 3s look sweet, are cheap[er], and would definitely serve those of us who don’t have a 1 or 2 and are not inclined to get a 600+ bones sys 'til it actually has [at least] a dozen viable games!

There’s still many on ebay going around $92 (cheapest I can find) and they’re all brand new, so I’d buy one before they’re all gone.

@_@

sweet!

could someone tell me if there is any problems putting in the sanwa buttons that are,the screw in type…basically, i would like to know if the hrap 2 have tabs like the tekken 5 stick or is it a perfect circle.meaning i don’t have to dremmel the damn things again…like i did for my t5 usa version mod. thanks to anyone.

Sanwa buttons fit into the HRAP1/2/3 no probs, BUT there are problems fitting a screw in button to the X button due to it’s close proximity to the joystick mounting bracket (I think it’s mentioned lots of times earlier in this thread, best to go trawl through it for more info). You’re best off getting a snap-in button for X instead, although there are a couple of other alternatives … have a browse!

HRAP1’s have no problems with screw-ins of any sort

HRAP2 and 3’s - the X button doesn’t have enough space for a Sanwa nut. Seimitsu screw-ins work just fine. If you really want all Sanwa, you can either sand down the nut til it fits or you can replace the nut from the Sanwa screw-in with a nut from a Seimitsu screw-in.

Just an FYI, HRAP3 SA got pushed back until September 20, 2007.

Sup Paik, Do you know if the hrap3 sa will have 16 quick disconnects or 20, it having stock button plugs and all? sorry if it’s been mentioned!

I have absolutely no clue.

~Paik

Gotcha, thanks!

random question: is the HRAP top plate aluminium or some other alloy?

My Dog chewed up the cord that plugs into the PS2, and it does not work anymore.

Where can I go to buy a new cord for it?

Is there a link for modding the tekken 4 stick?

Quick Question about the HRAP3, how does it register when used on a PC? Does it come up as a HID keyboard? or a Gamepad? Also how is the lag time if any when used on a PC?

Hori users please help me!

I’m looking for import stores in Los Angeles or Las Vegas that sell the Hrap3.

Any info would be welcome.

Pc see the hrap3 like a hrap3 (on control panel); the feeling is the same of the hrap2 + joy box

Alright, I have a very simple noob question here that has most likely been answered somewhere else (a million times), but I honestly can’t find it:

So I’m making my first custom stick out of a T5. I have 8 wires coming off the board for the stick (2 for each switch) and my stick’s wire harness has 5 wires (Sanwa JLF) I know which wires do what, but where/how should I connect the ground wire?

Edit: Ah, never mind, I got it.:looney:
