As far as I know, and since there hasn’t been any word of it, all HRAPs have the same casing (except inside area maybe different as is the case with the HRAP1 version B apparently, see the first post in this thread for more info regarding that).
The HRAP2 can’t be modded with snap-ins though because of them being so close to the mounting. I’m guessing it’ll be the same with the HRAP3…
Hey guys I need impressions on the DOA4 stick for 360. How is it?
I am thinking of picking one up for SF2Turbo and Virtua Fighter 4.
Also, is Sega bringing it’s Virtua Stick to the 360 now that VF4 has been announced?
HORI Real Arcade Pro Stick 3 is soon out.

The question is,
is it fully compatible with the PS2?I prefer it then the Original version and if it is working on PS2 I’ll definetely preorder it.
The HRAP3 is for the PlayStation 3 only, and it connects to the PS3 via USB cord.
Whether or not it works on anything else, we don’t know.
DemonDash that’s good to know, I’ll go update the first post.
hi guys,
i’m searching for HRAP special edition (seimitsu parts), i used to know there was no more in sale, but now it appears in the main page of www.hori.jp. i think it might be available again, but i don’t know where to buy it. i readed somewhere that it was exclusively to buy in www.horistore.com. is that true? and if it’s true, how the fuck can i buy in a japanese page without dying trying? thanks in advance for the help.
here’s a pic of my current custom stick

Hori stock buttons feel the same as Seimitsu buttons which is not surprising since they use the same switches, Tokai brand. In Japanese buttons the switch is everything since there are no springs under the plunger as on US buttons. If a Japanese button feels good or bad it is because of the switch. Hence people that say Hori’s suck while Sanwa/Seimitsu’s are god are ridiculous.
From what I’ve seen only PS-14-K, PS-14-P and PS-14-D(N) feature the same switch as Hori’s buttons, PS-14-G(X)(N) uses different switches (which may or may not still be from Tokai though).
can somebody tell me if HRAP 3 will be wireless? I know it has a USB cable, but it is for charging it or it has to plugged in the whole time? Thanks
hey V4MPIRO:
did you follow a guide on adding wires to the buttons on your t5 hori or you just did it yourself?
I want to do this to my t5 hori as well (add wiring and QDs) but im not sure how to go about it
Trying to replace joystick… but important question(s) first.
Got a question: On the HRAP2 how is the Sanwa joystick attached to the surface in the first place? What method was used?
I’m asking this because not too long after I had it (early 2006), a friend of mine frantically jiggled the stick in desparation to do a DP and GLOOP! it fell down through the hole.
I don’t have any stick building experience so at the time I just opened the thing and super glued the metal part back to the surface (making sure it was in the right postion and all). This method worked as a basic solution to the problem; so long as it didn’t receive any extreme impact from the top (like it falling from a high place and landing on the balltop, or something hitting it hard from above), it wouldn’t fall through and worked just fine.
Throughout the year I had about 7 random accidents with it where the stick would fall through and I would use the same method to fix it. The joystick received its final K.O., with an accidental people’s elbow, about 3 days ago because now it’s not even reponsive enough to be considered playable (diagonal movements are too iffy).
So, in attempt to save it yet again (damned thing is expensive), I figured I would remove all the old super glue from the surface with adhesive remover and try to attach a new joystick it the right way.
Main question(s) and point of the whole stupid story: What is the right way to attach a replacement joystick to the surface of an HRAP2? How would you guys replace the Sanwa joystick?
EDIT: I’m hoping this is not a stupid question that has been answered several times before, but despite the fact that the joystick just randomly fell through, I figured they still used a more reliable method to attch it than super glue.
The page with their joysticks is this one:

But they only have RAP1 in stock, the ones with red text are all out of stock
Do any of you guys use the Super Joy Box 5 adapter for using a RAP on a PC? It’s got some good reviews at Play Asia but i know you guys would notice lag better than most
Same question here, what’s the best PS2 / PC adapter available on Play-Asia ? Thanks
I dont actually have a RAP around yet, so i’m just trying to get my head around this button swap thing (real newb i’m afraid) before i commit to it!
But i’m confused atm because of these two pics:

The diagram makes it look like you would remove the quick disconnect, swap buttons, then reconnect the quick disconnect to the new button.
But then i saw the photo - that to my untrained eye looks like it has larger quick disconnects rather than the original ones. I must be seeing something wrong so can someone please explain it to me? What is the ‘Connector prong thing’ in the diagram and does anything connect to that if you’re going to use Sanwa’s instead?
Does anyone have a template for artwork? The link is dead on the first page and search didn’t bring up anything.
The link still works, it’s just in the old SRK format
This one’s correct

are there any threads on modding the hori fighting stick?
so is it really possible to put in a semitsu stick in HRAP ver. 2
Updated HRAP3 info, thanks early HRAP3 buyers.
