So, looks like Hori is using that new case debuted in the SCV stick. It would be nice if HORI releases a non-branded version of that stick in the near future.
Too bad I pretty much spent my Christmas money! LOL
Oh well, I can live without buying every joystick on the market…
Tough choice between Gundam and Soul Calibur. I really do like both properties!
P.S. – I really hope that Gundam Extreme VS gets localized for the US. The Dynasty Gundam games came over here and that series is even more redundant (than hell)!
I have good memories of the original Federation VS Zeon game and liked what little I played of Gundam Vs Zeta Gundam, too.
Everything I hear about Extreme VS screams for a localization.
Japanese PS3 games are insanely expensive now unless you wait a good six-ten months for price drops.
The only problem with waiting is that you may miss out on a game that turns to be a very limited print run.
I lucked out recently and was able to buy the two Japanese imports that I really wanted for very good (40% or better) discounts!
It should be the Namco “Noir” layout which does look like a slightly modified version of Astro City (all the HORI Tekken 6 sticks used that layout and I think the Deathsmiles IIX stick also used the same layout).
I’d love to buy this stick, but Japan only that you need to use some type of middleman service to buy (I think CDJapan could get this for you and might still fall under their 2000yen per item cost for ordering Japan only stuff).
And LOL that I misspelled Gundam on the title of the post.
If this had Freedom Gundam or Wing Zero on the art I would have jump on it no questions asked. Regardless is a beauty and I’ll envy who ever has one of this at a tourney.
I’m still kind of puzzled over why the abrupt case change for Hori. (Not that it doesn’t have a certain attractiveness to it… Should be easier to do art mods on this than the HRAP V3 in all honesty…)
I thought they would have gotten more mileage out of the HRAP V3/VX before making another case…
Mad Catz seems to be reusing the middle portion of the TE and making ornamental and faceplate changes.
You’ll most likely have to use a middleman/proxy service like Shoppingmalljapan or CDJapan.
Link to CDJapan’s special request - link. I’ve ordered stuff from CDJapan (never used their request service though as it’s relatively recent) and they are legit, but overall the price for the stick is going to be expensive when you factor in service fees and EMS shipping.
If the store allows you to pay using a foreign credit card or some other payment option, you can always sign up with Tenso. Tenso gives you a physical address in Japan so you can order stuff that’s Japan only and then have them ship it to you and you pay a small service fee.
I don’t want to make two posts, but Markman - thanks for correcting the title! =)
