Hori Hayabusa Buttons

Hmm, I figured the PS-14-G switch would definitely be too big, but do you know if the PS-14-D is also too big? (It’s the smaller Seimitsu switch). I read somewhere on these forums that the smaller Seimitsu switch and the Sanwa/Kuro switches were pretty interchangeable.

That’s part of the reason I want to try swapping the microswitches out. I’ve been playing with these silenced Hayabusa buttons and it feels like sometimes my inputs aren’t registering. I’m not sure if the silencer pads they came with are messing with actuation, or if the switch is just not very good.

I use these buttons (the new Hayabusa ones) since about two months and wont swap them out because i have no complaint as of yet .

The PS14-Ds will fit.

I didn’t realize that was the switch in the 24mm Seimitsu buttons, which I have.

yup those will fit. the smaller seimitsu ones look almost identical to the hori switches so you dont even need to make any modifications to the plunger.

Yeah I will stick to my Seimitsu PS-14-GNs

Thanks for the heads up, guys!

I just went and ripped a bunch of the PS-14-D’s out of my backup stick and replaced the Hori switches in my Hayabusa buttons.

These buttons feel reallllly good now.

It takes slightly more force to actuate them (which is great for me, as previously I was having accidental inputs from just grazing the buttons). And the action of the button feels way more consistent than when I had the Hori switches in there.

I think Hori still has some work to do with their microswitches, but the cap and plunger of these Hayabusa buttons feel great.

It might be worth trying the Sanwa SW-68 microswitch in these buttons if you want a more reliable switch than the Hori, but don’t like the stiffer Seimitsu switches.

Most people swear by Sanwa , sometimes before playing at arcade stick for the first time.

I certainly swore by them, but I actually really like the Hayabusa lever and I’m trying these hayabusa buttons before I go swapping them out. Either way I’m keeping the Hayabusa lever I love that thing.

Where can I find the japanese sellling the Hayabusa buttons? eBay? :stuck_out_tongue:

JP Yahoo auctions?

Yahoo Auctions Japan sells alot of stuff that never makes it to eBay.
You will need to find a 3rd party service to assist/ be the middle man as Yahoo Auctions Japan only deals in Japanese currency and only ships to within Japan.

And unlike eBay, late bids only extend the bidding time.

Has anyone spotted the stick yet in a webshop in Europe? (found 1 on ebay tho)

+1

Any European sources for the hayabusa buttons or the ArcadeStick in sight?

My first impressions: the Hayabusa buttons are the best I’ve ever used. o.o I’ll let you know if I change my mind. :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s aight. If forced to play on them I’m okay, but it feels like maybe it’s a bit friction-y when pressing it and the plunger coming back up. I’d rather use, uh oh, Kuros, Sanwa, and HBFS buttons over them, but that’s just me. I’d like Kuros more if they were as low set as Hayabusas though.

Just got mine in. I feel like I could breathe on them and the button would trigger a press. They’re legit.

They’re a lot nicer than the kuros but I’m still not a big fan

It’s nice to see improvements thought

You must have received a defective set. Mine are super smooth.

I tried my friend’s set from his 2016 VLX. Feels much better than the Kuro but I do fear if it won’t last.

It doesn’t have that jiggle I notice in Sanwa buttons but at least it doesn’t have the stiff neutral in Kuro.
