I will be taking this stick with me to EVO this year, does anyone have a recommendation on a bag for it? I saw the one that Markman posted in this thread, but dont like the “purse” style of it. I am thinking a messenger bag, but it would have to be pretty large.
I use the Qanba Defender bag with my Fighting Edge and it fits perfectly. You can find it on Amazon for $60 with Prime shipping (if you have Prime).
I found a bag that fits the stick perfectly:

I found it at a store in the mall called Spencers, it was half off and cost 29.99.
I took a small chance because I actually didnt have the stick yet, it came in this morning, and I lucked out as it fits just right.
As for the stick, my impressions are that it looks even better in person, and feels like a very premium product. In terms of quality, its much nicer than my v3, Pro, or TE. I was most excited to get a feel for the new stick, and it is awesome, not as loose as a JLF, and has a “solid” feel to it. The buttons feel good, no better or worse than Sanwa, responsive, with a touch more resistance. They wont make or break this stick for me, so I am going to look into translucent blue sanwas to swap out with.
I need help I got the fighting edge yesterday and I realized I didn’t like the button placement so I opened it up and moved the buttons around and its fine everything still works. But when I went to put the screws back into the faceplate I heard a tink noise I soon found out that a bolt had come loose from somewhere I’m not sure where to put it back and Its underneath the screw hole so I cant close the faceplate now if anyone has any idea on what I should do to fix this please let me know
If only they had that joystick bag with different controller designs on it.
I’m not really a fan of Nintendo’s joypads. Those designs have been hit-and-miss with me – mostly miss since the NES days.
A bag (or bags) with the any of the following designs would be a nice alternative: Sega Saturn digital pad, Virtua Stick 2 (candy cab version), Sega Virtual-On Twin Stick, Sega dual (Twin) Virtua Stick (candy cab again), Sega Saturn 3D controller, Dreamcast control pad, Sega Virtua High Grade joyStick, Sony Dual Shock 2 control pad, Hori Real Arcade Pro joysticks, etc.
Honestly, I think people would be better off if they could silk-screen any pattern/picture they’d want (for a nominal fee) or better yet get the pattern sewed into the bag. Silk-screen images get worn off over time.
How is the FE for shmups, better than JLF.
Anyone know if it is possible to install a Toodles Spark into the Hayabusa?
It’s just a regular old backpack, dude. Just saying.
To be honest, I’m not sure how many of those novelty licensed backpacks would comfortably hold a FE.
I have the black Fighting EDGE, would buy a white one in a heart beat.
Personally I think the white one looks much better and HORI should put it on market asap.
Anyone had dualmod the FE (ps3 version) with PS360+? maybe a guide or something?. I got my own FE, but many tournaments these days are running in XBOX360, so i need to mod it… thanks
I’ve had this stick for about 3 months, Used it for about one and then went back to my RAP V3 SA, Tried to get rid of it on FB but nobody wants it. To me, the Hori stock parts feel okay, I don’t like the actual button casings, or the hayabusa joystick, they just feel so different from sanwa. No doubt this will be sitting on my shelf while I save up for a VLX Diamond.
I just purchased this stick, and when I first plugged it in the touch sensor button lights came on, but no matter how hard I pressed nor how long I held down, they were unresponsive-- all 4. All of the other buttons work fine. Any thoughts?
We apologize for the inconvenience. In regards, please contact our customer service email for further assistance at infous@hori.jp Thank you very much.
Hey guys, I my A button’s cap flew off mid match in a tournament I was playing. Usually when I double tap it will fly off. Is there any way I can go about to replace the button? How? Preferably with a black kuro one, or will I have to resort to a sanwa one? Are there any guides?
There no taps to hold the plunger into place.
Kuro buttons only come in black, just get a green Sanwa
You’re thinking of the PS3 FE. 360 versions abide by MS’ licensing so they’re required to use the four colors + white or black:

A solution to broken plunger/skeleton is to take the microswitch out of the broken button and place it into a Sanwa case…of course, that voids the warranty if it’s still within the time frame.
Well Regardless of the actual button colors, We both agree that the tabs for the plunger are broken/ missing and there nothing holding the plunger into place.
For someone like me this is a non issue, just replace the button. But yeah opening the stick voids the warranty, but that is assuming you still have a warranty.
Most players should check to see if there warinity not expired and take that route first. I Void my warranty on stuff the moment I get my stuff, so its the DIY route for me.
@Waffle Slapper there no guides per se, as swapping buttons are as straight forwards as you get. The wires to the button are quick disconnects, and the button housing it self is held in with 2 plastic tabs.

Try putting a very little ammount of epoxy glue in the hole. take the whole button out and put the top of the plunger on the ground face down. take the microswitch out and insert it in to the plunger with a little bit of epoxy. that should hold it on.
hope this helps
Also I have spoke with Hori, there is no way to replace the buttons except to RMA the whole stick. LAAAME. One reason I sold my KURO buttons. Sure they work good, but what do you when they break? Try buying a replacement in trade outlet.
I ordered a green sanwa button hopefully I am able to put the micro switch in that. I heard that you can somewhere in this thread or another.
