Has anyone been able to change/reverse the LED’s on this stick? I want the sides to light up red instead of blue. I assume there is already red LED’s on the side panels since it flashes red when it vibrates. Seems like it may be a simple wire switching, but hell if I know.
No promises, but I’ll see what I can do about putting Syn13’s Fighting Edge template online within the next day…
IF someone can recommend a good, FREE server for image hosting, I can get it up in PSD format as opposed to flattening it out as a JPEG or something else tragic…
Syn’s template is the one I used to make my own FE theme…
I just got this stick a couple days ago. Making the switch from pad to stick has been very hard, but fun as well. Is this any way to disable the buttons? I would like to disable the L1/R1 buttons if possible (without actually taking them out).
Easiest way to disable the buttons in any game – aside from physically removing them, taking the wires off the terminal tabs – is to disable the buttons you want disabled with the control options menu. You’ll have to do that for every game but that’s an available option for about every major fighting game.
On the madcatz site I see these new “tournament edition S+” sticks. What’s the difference between those and what I have? Also, is the Hori FE better than what I have too? I’m just curious as to what’s considered the best. Also, do horis use square gates by default too? Thanks
Most standard Japanese style joysticks have square gates by default.

Careful, asking something like that here is like playing with gasoline during a fire storm.
Keep in mind, the opinion “what is considered the best” changes from person to person.
And Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink.
Is the stick I have considered high tier? I just want to make sure that I won’t be limited by my hardware. I was using an octagon gate but I just switched it back to square. I think the square has more room to move without hitting the edges, which I need to practice doing, right? I’m not supposed to ride the gate, but I have a hard time understanding how its possible not to in the heat of battle. Thanks!
