No prob, working on a template, it’s rare that I get it precise the first time but we’ll see the results tomorrow when I get it printed out and applied on:
Looks nice Do you apply art to the FE In the same manor as you would a TE with one of Art’s plexi’s or is going to be extra work I can’t remember what the FE looks like under the stock plexi
I’ve been meaning in investing in a compass(the circle making tool) so I won’t need to cut along the plexi but yeah, aside from that, if my measurements are correct then all I need to do is to use a pair of compass and make circles with my handy modelers knife and use a straight edge for the touch panel. Essentially the only openings the plexi on the FE has are the home button, stick and 8 buttons. I don’t even think I need to to cut out a spot for the touch panel since it’s pressure sensitive.
Take a pic of the final product if you could. Also, what are the measurements for the template. Could you shoot the template to me so I can make my own art?
It’s actually done and it’s pretty close I believe. I’m just gonna take my template and clean it up because there’s literally waaaay to many reference layers and stuff.
does anyone know?
Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure the only place to get this is the Hori online store.
Hori Store or Amazon.ca apparently…
I’m sure some Amazon.com vendors might get Fighting EDGE’s in-stock but you’ll probably end up paying more than the MSRP Hori charges.
Right now, I think Hori puts a limit on the number of sticks you can buy to discourage vendor hoarding and price gouging… (It’ll still eventually happen I’d bet…)
How do you activate the feature that allows the side lights to blink red when you take damage?
Set the vibration on from the in game settings.
Added:
Template cleaned up, lemme know if the box for the touch panel is off or not, I was supposed to cut mine out but it looked better with the graphic over the panel.
Preview image for template:
Included a guide for those who want the box intact so that your indicators will line up correctly with the actual panel.
I just picked up this converter and it will be in tomorrow. I will let you guys know how well it works. For $20 to have a dual mod I am game. Glad I picked up the PS3 version so I don’t lose the button mapping function that the 360 has

Here is a review of it. Very informative. At 9:54 he talks about compatibility with sticks. He say the RAP works fine as well as other Hori sticks so we should be fine.

Have read comments from others that it works fine with no lag but I will let you guys know for sure tomorrow when I try it out on my ASUS tourney monitors
looking forward to hearing impressions Tactiks
Whats the deal with LS-32/JLF compatibility? Any issues swapping buttons?
is it just me, or are the buttons kind of sticky on this thing? I swear it feels like I really have to push them hard to get anything to come out
You probably have to work them in, had two sessions with my FE before the buttons stop squeaking.
As for swapping parts, they all fit. The FE has universal mounting points for a JLF/LS series stick and 30mm standard buttons
BTW Kuro microswitches fits inside the Sanwa Buttons and vice versa.

Tried out the converter and it is badass. It works with no lag and works with various controllers/sticks for both systems.
Now the bad news…
It doesn’t work with the FE! DAMNIT!! haha I was hoping it would but it’s never that easy is it I think it has something to do with the PCB is uses (DUH) cause of the new touch panel.
I did dual mod my PS3 FE though.
What I did was use my PS360+ and put it in the stick. I unplugged the USB and other wires I didn’t need and put them in a bag for safe keeping. I bypassed the PCB entirely so I wouldn’t mess with the touch panel and break it (it costs $200 for that part). I figured I would wait for a true dual mod to use the touch panel.
What I did for the start button was I wired it to the L2 button (last top button) and so I wouldn’t hit it in tourney play I wired the ground through the R2 button so that I have to have it held down for the start button to work. It works like a champ and I sacrifice having a select button so I didn’t have to drill the case and it keeps its sexy look
The only wire that I had to splice into was the Home/Guide button and that was VERY easy and is EASY to put back if needed.
Now I have a dual modded FE and am loving it!! Sure I don’t have all the flare but to be honest I really bought the stick for the new parts and the deck.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Ok just recived my fighting edge today first thing Stick is goregous. I only have 2 complain, the actual stick in the midle (i opned up) was scratch like it was literaly
mising some soldering causing to little hole what that does its making the stick getting stuck when u do an imput where the hole are.
Since the stick is moving sometime its upward after couple of min goes downwoard u can feel it while ur taping. Luckily i was able to fix it with a simple pair of sicor
by removing the soldering part that was causing that still pretty weird hope its a parmanent fix.
My second complain its the mic. I did play with the tournament edition and vx sa with no noise with my turtle beach. But now with the edge soon as i plug my mic
in it start doing that noize i can hear it pretty good but if i put the sound of the game it does disaper a bit.
Other then that i have nothing bad to say about this stick
Im happy!!!
PS Im from Canada and i ordered the stick from Amazon.ca
Gummo and I already Dual Mod with the Touch Panel working.
Back and Start.
Unless you mean Back and Start and Configuration Mode?
How’d you do dual mod it jdm? I’d like to dual mod mines.
