Man, the exclusivity of the buttons really kills this for me… Just when I need a new stick…
The buttons are not much different from the Seimitsus.
Who knows what Hori’s plans are for its new buttons and Hayabusa control lever… It all depends on the success of this joystick.
If you guys are interested in trading the Fighting Edge for a MadCatz SFxT Red Pro for Xbox 360 pm me. Thanks
This isn’t Trading Outlet…
I know. But it’s easier for those that own it to check and respond to me if there’re interested. FYI I ain’t selling it and still a discussion about it.It’s like me saying I saw the Fighting Edge and it’s a nice stick but I wonder how good it’s the touch screen in the longrun Btw I have a MadCatz Red Pro that I could trade with whoever it’s interested.
@Hori
There is any place to buy this in Europe?
thanks
Had to grab one of these through middleman service because Horishop doesn’t not sell their items outside of U.S…Also picked up a RAP Travel Bag for my VLX while I was at it. Now I will have my four swag sticks, my VLX, VSHG, Metal custom stick and the FE, everything else I had has been sold for Syn13’s Fighting Edge Fund~
inb4 everyone starts posting their colored Kuro buttons for trade in the trading post section haha.
how is this compared to the sc5 hori stick that is for 100 us dollars? Is the sc5 hori stick good enough to be used my tourament stick cause iam broke?
The SCV Hori stick is definitely good enough for tournaments - It’s got full Sanwa parts. The main difference, besides the case + remapping features, is the buttons and joystick. On the fighting edge, the buttons and joystick are new Hori-made parts.
Anything is tournament variable to be honest. It’s how reliable the parts are(Samwa/Seimitsu/Happ/Crown), I entered a couple of tournaments using a Hori Fighting Stick VX swapped out with a JLF stick and Seimitsu buttons and the FS VX is an entry level stick.
Honestly. Asking if something is tournament viable is in short, dumb(dont mean to be mean). The only thing it needs to be tournament viable is that it doesnt randomly disconnect on you mid match, and that it not be a controller that syncs with the system (to prevent random pausing).
Otherwise, anything can be used in a tournament. Its whatever you are comfortable with.
^What he said
It’s a great stick. I prefer it over the MadCatz TE.You can later on change the Artwork and buy a plexiglas from http://www.tek-innovations.com/arthobbies/ . Btw you should see TA Frutsy. He didn’t had a so great Arcade Stick but that didn’t stop him to make in Top 8 in Umvc3 at Evo 2012.
thanks for the info guys!
I thought his custom made stick was pretty damn awesome. Sure, it didn’t look fancy but that was probably the point. I seriously doubt he had issues affording (or winning) a new stick and instead played on what he made and likes. His has actually inspired me to start up my own fight stick project. Of course mine is insanely different from his but I really like the idea of playing on something I built.
I love the fighting edge. Its my go to stick now.
Oh man so many plans for the FE. Dual mod first then seeing if there’s a way to hotwire the side LEDs to a FGWidget/ArcEye kit!
Aside from that, don’t see any other usage for the touch panel to be modded out unless my buddy can change the function of the button remapping in relation to LED settings.
Anyone selling the Suzo black buttons?
Is this stick really worth it? I mean is the joystick really that different from the madcatz te sticks ? Does anyone really feel like their executing move easier with this stick. can someone give honest feedback and nothing scripted. thanks in advance
These sticks are now available in the UK from Amazon. Cost is £180.
