Hori Fighting Commander (PS3/PS4/PC Xinput) / Fighting Stick Mini 4 with Hayabusa-like joystick?!

Same plastic (d-pad) but different membrane.

Dammit. I’m really looking for a decent dpad. The Hori’s buttons are fantastic no doubt but I’m just not feeling the actual dpad. It’s “OK” but I want something better than that. I’m tempted to start playing on the Dualshock 4 again because I think the pad is better (only slightly mind you). I’d prefer to use something I really like though. I find it strange that we are in 2016 and we almost have less pad options that we did in the 90’s. Are my only options right now the above 2 Hori’s, the Dualshock 4 and that abomination of a Madcatz “product”? Is there anything else that doesn’t involve using some kind of convertor? At this rate I’m genuinely tempted to mod a pad and I know absolutely fuck all about doing that.

No way is the DS4’s dpad better than the Hori’s. I’ve been using the new FC since january and I’m really liking it.

well to my tastes it is. dpad on the hori feels extremely cheap.

Does the new pad have the diagonal throw adjustment on the back? I find the FC4Pro dpad is much more usable when set to the “L” position.

No and that’s why it should be more durable

That’s an issue, too?
I thought it was just the rotation thing that was flimsy.

The new FC’s dpad (not the FC4Pro) crapped out on me after a couple weeks. The bottom and right inputs weren’t very responsive. I don’t even do that many hadokens. Hahahaha.
I returned it and picked up an Xbone controller for the PC. The dpad on the Xbone is smaller, but oddly enough the clickyness of it makes it more responsive for my playstyle.

I just got the new Hori Fighting Commander imported from Japan. But when I try to play it on PC mode for SFV it doesnt work… I thought the pc mode made it so it has the correct input to play on SFV -_-

Hi, it does work for me on PC when set to xinput I think. But I’ve set it to PS3 input and use it with x360ce anyway so I can use all buttons on pad the way I want not they way SF V allows me to.

hi guys…

i’ve heard about the NEW fighting commander v … i’ve read that it SHOULD work on xbox 360 and/or xbox one WITHOUT converters, adapters or stuff like that.

could you confirm or deny this?

they all are XINPUT compatible after all…

i just want to be sure that i do not BREAK anything…

thanks , guys

No way, it will only work with PC games that support the 360 and XBone controllers, not with the actual consoles.

So the Mini 3 has the softer lever which should be better for these kind of lightweight/small sticks and the Mini 4 Buttons are a bit more sens.

Mini 3 look and lever with Mini 4 Buttonswitches would be best.
