That’s kinda cool what you did there. I wonder ehy they dont make em with more ways to put stuff in.
The Saturn doesn’t need a sync cleaner and if I want to add one I will just go through the VGA port with either one I make my self or one from retro_console_accessories
*but that will be later on if I want to add Nintendo stuff *
they do have a lot of different “ways to put stuff in” 4 different ways for the GBS actually
She indicated that we might be able to cut the trace and connect two points for c sync. I am fine with doing that because its easy and would not require another cable. I’m just curious if ultimately the amp is the better answer.
I for one will miss you apologizing for the ghetto Saturn RGB cable in all of your pictures.
(nice white Saturn, btw)
I’ve only got a VGA port and a component port. I do have 2 VGA out though.
lol yeah it was crazy ghetto but I couldn’t find any cables in states at the time, the Reto console girl wasn’t selling them. I do wonder were she purchased those Din plugs they are hard to come by maybe she found some cheap RF adapters or something that she cannibalized.
yeah my Saturn is still for the most part white/cream but starting to turn to the yellow side…not the banana shade either
Does yours not look like mine? if so then BS I’m not talking about the VGA out either
it actually has 5 inputs I forgot about component
It looks the same except that SCART input you added.
no shit I added a scart port…now I only have 4 inputs left
But… There’s only one VGA in and one component in.
whatever man i’m not getting baited with dumb ass comments…hopefully your trying to make a joke
Ok. Sure. Why not?
Be careful with this one. It didn’t work for me and I had to re-solder to the trace to restore composite. I’m just going to be on the lookout for an older system.

the link looks broken but I think I already linked all mmmonkey’s N64 RGB guides a page back
What happened to just getting the amplified cable?
I believe he giving you options It’s your shit, do what you want to do
How would I pick up on that? It seemed like he was saying that wouldn’t work out.
Also: for the record, these problems only happen with this model 64 right? The previous 3 can have a mod done, no amplified cable, right?
From what I understand earlier models can get by with the three cables. They may still need the amp. The retro cable girly suggested I jump those two points. It did not work either. I don’t feel like buying that cable since I’m not even a big N64 fan. I’ll spend it on some Genesis carts.
I can understand that. But logic would dictate the amp cable would solve the darkness issue just fine?
