I have noticed this a lot too. He uses strong more than any other Honda I have seen. I never looked into the frame data/hitboxes on it much to understand its usefulness.
Thanks for the info too Slick!

Decent Honda, owov. Kinda lucky guess but still alright play. Heās better off using more focus against viper.
lolā¦ I just listen to āKikoukenā for 10 mins strait during that vid.
lmao ya, believe or not i learned something from this bad honda

he does jump in fierce option select st.rh.
donāt see that everyday.
i dont understand what happened, it looks as if he did a late safe fierce right into hk is there more to it then that?
itās a basic jump in option select to beat back dash.
basically you do jump in fierce, but press round house right after words. (the timing of pressing round house is like pressing it right when you think the j.fp would hit the other character).
what happens is if the j.fp hits, no round house comes out, you combo as usual.
if however the j.fp whiffs (like if they back dash it) then you land and st.rh immediately comes out and hits their back dash.
thanks that sounds useful
yeah it can be vs back dash happy players.
you can do it with other moves too. (like meaties as theyāre waking up)
i can never get it to work on boxer though which sucks because boxers love to back dash.
you should see the ridiculous amount of these option selects that gief has.
hmmm against those rogs and akumas that teleport the wrong way a fierce headbutt is sometimes a good way to make them stop it
actually you can tag akuma with a head butt no matter which way he teleports.
Well figured iād stick my head up above the parapit and face the criticism.
Just my first foray into recording matches so the quality is abit wank.

Too much un-needed Buttslams imo and not enough oicho.
Calm down with the jumping, seems like your jumping too much to gain distance. Just walk to him. Also donāt always try to counter him with the jumping FP noticed you were eating a few HKs cause of that
from what i can see, you are using way too much ex in situations when you dont need to. on whiffed srkās a simple lp headbutt would have done, or an ochio, or c.lp xx hhs. I used to use ex all the time, but now im getting in the habit of saving my bar for HHS fadc ochio set ups, and supers. Also I think you were jumping in way too much on ryu, and doing way too many buttslams, but I too am guilty of doing this.
Absolutely horrible Ryu. How in the hell does he have so many points?
Top tier Honda vs Daigo.

Interesting how he appears to baits fireballs with standing roundhouse, buffering the ultra motion during the RH to have it ready in case ryu throws a fireball after.
Thatās an interesting way to use neutral jump fierce. If you jump over your opponent waking up, I think the SRK will whiff you but youāll still be able to hit them as they get up. When you wake up, you wake up standing apparently so this is kind of a guaranteed 50/50 mix-up after you land.
very impressive ending im going to try that nj fierce after ochio and push forward
oh there are lots of nj fierce set ups actually.
the one in the video basically only works when honda is in the corner because the oicho pushes you too far away normally.
in that set up, reversal srk will whiff and you can punish, but if they do the srk late, it will auto correct and hit you. (and if itās jab srk, he can ultra you)
but in order for their srk to hit it has to be really late so iāve never gotten hit by it.
off of a forward normal throw, you can use neutral jump fp setups anywhere on the screen though, and you can safe jump them so that srk never hits you. you can also decide which side of them you land on if you want to do a whiff set up.
not sure if this has been posted yet
