Thats a prime reason on why most U.S. players can’t shatter their plateau. No one wants to play their match ups. If they lose with one they counter-pick with a character that they suck even more with. I’d love to fight a brain dead Sagat like that or a Rufus that doesn’t punish shit.
That’s one thing us Honda players know and respect. Play the fucking match-up and overcome it.
this matchup maybe gets more boring every time i play it. it is difficult for both players i think, we played 10 matches and it wound up being 5-5, chaos played well and won in the end. getting behind on life in this match is depressing because it is very hard to land big dmg, most of it comes one hp/hk at a time.
i have a bad habit of stubbornly wanting d,u lk to correct direction on wakeup but otherwise the videos are pretty good.
I sometimes get stuck in that mindset as well. I think that it’s just a matter of waiting a fraction of a second longer; or using an ex HB instead (if you mis-time it, you should at least escape the situation).
Also, he was blocking alot of fierce HHSs. You probably could have snuck in a FADC into Oicho at least once or twice. (Note: this is not a criticism, just an observation. I often have a tough time remembering to do this in the heat of battle; I’m great at doing it in training mode, though. )
Fucking awesome match between Utah’s best 'Rog and our very own Semitry. I think Thanh might be a little too humble to post his own videos, so I’m gonna do it for him. Very inspiring stuff here!

Saikyo Edit: Highlight about 8 minutes into the vid.
Very solid Honda. I like the meaty c.mk xx HHS in the first match. In the 2nd match he missed the HHS, HHS xx super link and got reversalled but he landed it in the 3rd match. very nice.
