It’s hard to beat any sakura that can turn any hit into that dreaded ex-spinkick combo and consistently pull it off.
And yes I know, sometimes you just can’t help but throw the ultra out there and hope for the best. I think it worked one round, but honestly winning the first round w/ ultra is like a curse because then you think you can land it again which can end up costing the match.
Case in point: E.Honda’s ultra should never be used because it should never land unless you’re opponent has made a HORRIBLE misjudgment or mistake. Like shooting a fireball from mid screen for chip or jumping in when you have charge. Or whiffing there own ultra.
Question: On the sliding method, is he sliding J ,Str,Fierce + 2 fierce for the 5 inputs? Your method sounds like it would work better for double hands.
I too get the urge to pull off random ultra’s. It gets me more when I’m at the arcade. At home, online not so much, but in public I sometimes go through the motion without even realizing it, which blows because its rare when a random ultra lands.
It’s a decent idea to hit :l::r::l::r: as you’re waking up, then hit PPP if you see them trying to chip. But Mr. SNK was pulling some full screen missions lol only computers would eat that. Probably because he landed one. Curse I tell you.
Thanks. It is nice to have a gameplan vs Sagat. I can block a million fireballs happily knowing I can pressure him right back.
Aside from the sad and scary ultra at the end, 1-2 bad jumps (altho he had very good reaction time imo), and NEVER BLOCKING A MEATY TIGER SHOT… I was happy with the match and tournament. I got 2nd in singles losing spectacularly 7-1, 1-0 to Arturo’s Seth and Dhalsim… and our team got 2nd in teams (again, losing to Arturo’s team). I was 5-0 vs Sagats though, which was fun!
