It requires a metric ass ton of self-control and practice. Now mind you I’m learning how to do it yet have no fucking clue how to implement it yet. (Cept for a jump in or cross-up.) (Which is fine right now)
Good shit MrSNK. MESA REPRESENT!!
Haha, I wish i could use some HHS methods. Too bad i’m too damn poor for a stick lol
you rock a pool glove now when playing? damn wish i was still in sac town to see this. i’m not following exactly the benefits though, did you have trouble with jab xx hands before and the glove allowed for a sliding technique? or are you using snk’s piano method?
i apologize if this is a stupid question in advance.
edit: for the ex hhs > jab xx hhs > hk combo are you using a piano method for the ex hands? or are you doing that off a jump-in/during a punish situation cause for the life of me i can’t get piano’ing into ex down, any help on that would be appreciated, didn’t notice a technique if it’s been posted in this thread.
I never use HHS
I have a question for you honda’s that made use of this tutorial:
How consistently do you land this sweet combo in match situation (online or offline I don’t care)?
Like can you walk up, and do c.lp–> hands on demand?
Can you do it AFTER you realize you’ve landed a j.hp or j.hk?
Can you land it after every cross up every time?
Do they have to be lights-out dizzy for you to be able to do it?
Like how often does do you whiif it and how often does whiffing the HHS combo cause you to lose a round or a match?
At least 80% of the time, occasionally I’ll screw up and it won’t come out.
Yes, after a while it becomes 2nd nature and you just do it. But you as the player needs to make sure that the cr.:lp: connects hit or block before the hands comes out.
Yes and even if you don’t land the attack and it’s blocked you still cr.:lp: xx hhs for the meter and chip.
This one is tricky, you have to time his cross-up to where it hits right before you land or you’ll eat a DP or w/e move your opponent has in his arsenal. But yes you can it’s just the piano method which makes it easier that most characters due to not choosing a direction and just inputting a command.
Negative, his Cr.:lp: has high priority and beats a variety of attack clean so you can simply poke into xx HHs.
Hardly ever, you make sure that the attack leading into the HHS connects before you do it. Don’t get me wrong at times people will jump over my poke after I’ve already decided to commit to inputting the command.
Hope that helps.
damn you SNK and the HHS army…i injured my finger tonight!
I had an opportuinity to Jab HHS, Jab HHS a (pretty bad) guile when i strained my right index finger’s knuckle :crybaby:
Should be fine by tommorow. I just need rest from playing the hell out of this game for so long
I use HHS combo’s in every match I play. In fact I use them too much. Like when I know my jumpin will be blocked and I should go for tick ocihio I still HHS out of habit.
I can walkup c.lp xx HHS on demand but I use c.mk xx hp.HHS more than c.lp.
Every crossup I do is always c.lk xx hp.HHS not c.lp xx hp.HHS because I like to force them to low block.
Dizzied opponents are eating Ultra or FA.2, Ultra or j.rh, c.mk xx hp.HHS, s.rh.
80% success, 10% EX’s, 5% nothing and 5% accidental Headbutts
I loss more rounds because the missed damage of the combo I dropped (usually the cross up) would have kill my opponent than from getting reversaled.
So awesome. It made me want to play again, thanks.
I don’t even play to win sometimes. I just play to get in as many HHS combos as I can in each match.
Kind of a noobish question, but what determines the strength of hands that comes out? I thought it was just any five inputs with the last input determining the strength. But I’m having a problem lately with the lp-hp-mp-lp-hp piano method, I seem to get lp hands quite often for some reason. Maybe I’m accidently pressing the fourth lp twice or something but I don’t think so.
The strength only depends on the last input you were correct in that thinking. You must be slipping about on your stick.
Go to training mode and turn on input display to see where you are messing up.
Looking at it I think it must be my index finger coming down twice before the last input. More practice needed.
I think even when I get the execution down there will be an even longer gap before I train myself to follow up on all the crouching jab pokes. But I guess that’s true for every combo.
cr.jab fierce hands has me soo frustrated! I don’t understand why when I cleanly execute cr.lp cr.hp cr.mp cr.lp cr.hp (training mode with input display) as fast as I can I don’t get hands to combo from cr.lp and won’t even come out like if I’ve done it slower. then I’ll slow it down and hands will follow but won’t combo. I don’t get it.
Argh!
the simple answer is when you doing it at normal speed your last input is in cr. lp’s recovery frames and is no longer within the cancel window. when you slow it down your last input is after recovery frames but as it isn’t a cancel it’s not going to combo.
just keep working on that speed, personally i noticed when i was learning this technique that i would pause after the first lp to piano down the line from hp > lp and it killed my ability to get it out fast enough, so my advice would be to just practice it not on the stick, just hit it at random places. desks, walls, your car steering wheel etc. and try to make sure there is no gaps between the sounds of your fingers tapping.
dear MrSNK,
I has mk. into HHS now.
Love,
TehWrrza
p.s. chingchongchingchong
Dammit gotta find someone else to play for a few weeks after i did this to my right forearm.
(Not for the Sqeemish)
Not actually as bad as it looks but consistent HHS is well out of the picture.
I would go back to turbo but i feel guilty as all hell.
If anyones interested anymore the sequence i prefered was lp,mp,hp,lp,hp
I found stumming my fingers like that worked best and just holding off my middle finger the second time through the strum.
I’d say i’m about 50% perfect, 30% ex, 10% jab or strong hands, 10% utter failcakes.
damn dude i hope you heal up well.
Just got sent to Round 2 of that Cevo Tournament. Only have to win 16 more matches now. Wish me luck gens.
Oh yeah…
Man I almost got taken out by a Gen player and then I realized I was playing E.Honda. TEE You Are Tee EL EE POWA!!!
At the end of the second game I had no life left and figured he was going to wall-dive kick for the chip and low n behold Dive kick so I gently scooted forward and CHINGCHONGCHINGCHONG HHS!!!
For those of you who don’t know… CHINGCHONGCHINGCHONG = cr.:mk: hhs. Not official but mad funny.
