Homeless Man Helps Robbery Victim Only To Be Ignored By Pedestrians As He Lay Dying

They’re not dumb enough to sport the red that your uninformed documentaries speak of, they would get picked off by other gangs too easily. Also, most bloods on the train you wouldn’t even recognize. They keep the red to a minimum, like a red sock covered by jeans/pants or shoe lace, the inside of a hat, or some other small thing that they can flash as passage that you wouldn’t even notice in under a second. I’m saying a lot of kids, that were kids in the mid 90s that I knew, joined the bloods and then became cops. Meaning they had access to technology, could mark you as a suspect, keep track and make sure no other cops are near you, then let his friends know to slash you when you’re outside.

Anyways, like I already said, don’t get involved in things beyond your control. With all the shit I have seen I have managed to stay safe because I mind my own business as far as the outside world is concerned.

i live in a pretty scummy city, but nowhere near the level that NYC obviously has

however, I have had to walk by a fuckload of homeless, all the time. Whether they’re asking me for change, passed out in their own filth, or picking up smokes off the ground…

…i sure as fuck ain’t gonna go over and start patting down and questioning every homeless guy I see passed out somewhere.

However, if there is a pool of blood, I would probably at least call 911 or some shit.

NYC isn’t scummy, it’s diverse. Some neighborhoods you can live your entire life in peace, others you’ll be lucky to see the next day in one piece.

Moral of the story: Just call 911 while walking.

I like this outside looking in view of NY everyone has.

Yeah see, thats fucked up. Moving from NY to Vegas recently I’ve realized one thing. NYers have a very blind view of things. They only know what NY teaches them.

Eldergod’s post fucking blows my mind, that he knows of this information. Good shit. Just turn your head and don’t inform the proper people of this. Typical scared bullshit. Sure you learn to stay safe, but at what price? and why? I got held up one time in broad daylight, I tried to hint at some of the people nearby I needed help. Some dude looked at me wide eyed and walked away. Okay, so then I was smart about it and slowly moved away from him and ran. I figured if he had anything on him and wanted to do anything, he would’ve done it by then.

I remember when NYers had balls wtf happened to that?? The image of ny now is not the same it was in the 90’s or 80s.
9/11 happened and everyone wet their pants. Fucked up, but it’s true.

Damnit. All these New Yorkers comming out makes me sad. I thought NY had dudes who would not take shit from anybody. Now it seems that NY has transformed into panzees from the cast of Friends.

Back to my emoness.

Not a good look for Queens

Kitty Genovese status

Its entertaining to see people from NY move to the south.

They are always like “why do strangers keep saying hello to me when im walking down the street?” “yall are so nice down here.”

For some reason, its first instinct to speak to someone you make eye contact with on the street in the south. I couldnt imagine speaking to someone and them acting like I never said anything.

They are so taken back by common courtesy. Holding the door for one another and just making conversation with strangers is pretty un-typical in NY, so sad. I considered moving there but I’d be dead within a week if Im asking how to get around the city and I keep getting ignored.

Thats how you gotta do it.

i didnt mean to offend NYCers. I fucking love that city. I like how Toronto tries to be New York Jr.

Just saying that where NYC is dirty, it’s fucking FILTHY. Still has some of (if not THE) greatest things in the world found there.

If it came down to it, I’d wager that for any SUPER huge disaster (yes, worse than 9/11), NYCers surprise the rest of the world and pull through with relatively no problems.

  • Yeah I know some friends in high school who used to do shit like that. My old man always told me to be swift and stay cool when you’re traveling anywhere specially when you’re traveling through the boogie down or Brooklyn and you’re not too familiar with the neighborhoods. To this day he never leaves the house without an “equalizer”. I’ve jumped into things to help people before but luckily it never popped off and I was caught in the middle. *

Kinda hard for any city to pull together if it’s destroyed in one blow. I’d love to see any city come back from being nuked. Just saying.

I hope we don’t see a Nuke anytime soon. We’ve seen Atomic and that was bad. Nagasaki and Hiroshima haven’t even fully recover from that yet, lets not even think about Nuke or even dare I say Hydrogen bomb.

Funny you should mention that…

please…

that was 8 years ago.

“We will never forget” = 2 years tops

Even the nice places in NYC are scummy. I live in the Riverdale area of the Bronx. They have community complex’s with gates and security. They have private pools up there and it’s a wonderful place. Yet these people are the same people to ignore you when you need help. It still exists here too. I use to deliver the news papers to these buildings early morning and I would pass by the basement where they keep all their garbage. I found a nice TV that was thrown out, but guess what?!? The power cord was cut. Same with the microwave, toaster, and other electronics I’ve seen in these buildings over the span of my work. How scummy is that? “Well, I got a new TV, lets make sure no one can use this old one because I PAYED for it!!” That goes to show a neighbor hood may look nice because there is seemingly no trouble, but the people are still scum…

you shoulda took the tv and repaired it…

FAIL NEWSPAPER DELIVERY BOY!!!

They were waiting for an American to fix it.

stop it. there’s a subway hero every other month.

speaking of which my aunt was getting mugged and two random dudes tried to stop it and chased the dude out of the train station.
also you don’t know what a person has on them and what they will do so ppl just mind their business. in my aunt’s case, the nigga had a glock, pointed it at her stomach and told her to give her her bag. she started fighting the dude and he hit her with the butt of the gun. knocked her down, etc. she was done. couldn’t even remember her own name when the cops asked.
had to get like 7 stitches.
