I think to a large portion of US fans this is irrelevant. The anime didn’t cover it and the manga STILL hasn’t been available completely domestically or scanlated completely. For me, it was a “Oh, that’s what happened” when I found out rather than getting angry over spoilers because it’s just not available here. Maybe with this Hokuto no Ken resurge we’ll get a mini series or something that covers the later volumes, but I wouldn’t expect it yet
At the end of the manga, Bat gives up on his love for Lin so she and Kenshiro could get married and finally, live the happy life they deserve so much. He presses Lin’s pressure points to make her forget about him and manages to reunite Lin with an also amnesiac Ken, but fate forces him to pose as Ken in order to fight against Bolge, a blind and dangerous thug with a grudge against Ken. Bat is captured and horribly tortured by Bolge, but does his best to leave a convincing impersonation of Ken, hoping that with his death, the real Ken gets declared officialy dead and future thugs leave him alone. Just before Bat’s death, the real Ken rescues him and defeats the entire thug gang, moved by Bat’s ultimate sacrifice. Lin decides to stay behind and guard Bat’s grave forever, only to discover that Ken managed to save Bat’s life by manipulating his remaining pressure points. In his final panels, Lin is happily hugging a fully healed, yet still unconcious Bat.
I would have loved to have seen this animated as well. But, it was still good the way they did in series.
His name is Ryu and he also makes a brief appearance in NFOTNS.
Has anyone read the Jagi Gaiden? Is it any good?
Yeah, this is what I was talking about.
See, the animated series actually didn’t allow us to see that much of Grown-Ass!Bart that much, and by the time we really do get to see him truly take on a whole new level of manliness in the manga, the anime closes up shop. I was a bit salty when I found that out.
Any way, the same “semi-canonical” game I referred to earlier (the one that has Mamiya’s adopted daughter being the heir to Rei’s Suicho-ken), also had it so that Bart and Lynn were set to be all domesticated with each other. I suppose that’s a good enough wrap-up for their plotline as we’ll ever get.
…music is tight.
love Kenshiro’s little hokuto history lessons
The clip where Kenshiro breaks both the guys arms in a lock is freaking sweet
5:51 - “WAAAATAAAAA!! NECK TWISTING HEAD BREAKING KICK!”
yeah, watching it in english is comedy
Yeah, though NFOTNS truly screws up the fate of Koku-oh. :xeye:
IS this really true?
Cuz if Kenshiro and Lin hooked up :wow:
To me, Lin and Bat were more like Kenshiro’s children(Even though you can tell since the 1st series that Lin was pretty “fond” of Kenshiro). Hokuto no Ken 2 had a manga? If so where can it be read?
I’ve watched part 1 like 3 times already. Trying to claw through the HnK 2 Anime, but I’d prefer manga.
NOTHING beats the kill at 3 minutes.
“Too bad, give the Devil my regards.”
God DAMN thats fucking badass. I like it better than the Japanese one which is like “now enter eternal sleep.”

- Tecmo Koei CEO Kenji Matsubara mentioned that they expect Hokuto Musou [Fist of the North Star Warriors] to sell over 1 million copies in Japan, and the game is planned for the oversea market as well. The stocks price of Tecmo Keoi rise 17% after the game announcement in Japan.-
Guys I have a question…
When Souther rapes Ken and Kens crawling back and passes out, who helps him back? If its supposed to be Raoh, thats an awful drawing, seeing how his horse wasnt even black.

Thats the person that helped him out. He doesnt have the right helmet either. In the OVAs they show Raoh helping him, but those are OVAs.
^They’re Raoh’s soldiers.
lol, Sure thing mate
Gonna reDL the entire HnK anime series and HnK 2 just for the heck of it.
Someday in alt. universe I may make a fanfic attmepting to fix the inconsistencies of HnK 2 @_@.
…and I’ve always pronounced it Ra-Oh.
OK here’s something that has been bothering me for a long time about the HnK anime; why the fuck are Ken’s eyebrows so…BIG?!
^Thick eyebrows are the sign of a true man.
because it is Ra-Oh.
wow drum n bass…dope.
Pretty sure it’s a Bruce Lee reference. Rock Lee from Naruto has the same deal.
