GG’s everyone. I gotta say that it made me enjoy GG for a bit. The tournament was fun… Kuro, it was nice to play you again.
My opinion, I hate console mass casual play. I grew up with the arcade setting and I can’t really handle console unless it’s at a tournament aka Evo.
I will give one more attempt into getting a GG machine at Brians.

I OBJECT!!! Move it to February 28th, 2048. We should all be retired by then, no one will have to miss work or anything to attend, and I’m pretty sure no one will be playing MVC2 or CVS2 at HBB that day.

i think i can make it on thursday if it’s at night. d-pad, i noticed your location is at mills. ever been to the fun factory guilty gear there? i used to go there every friday but i think i scared everyone away and now no one plays it when i check it out. i felt like i was the machines only customer. i rarely go there, cant stand that button layout. o yeah do i have to bring my own stick? and this question is for fun, anyone play arcana heart? i have it for the ps2 and the arcadia mook but i cant read japanese.

bear: i am aware of the GG machine at fun factory, but i never go there to play because of the messed up button layout. despite it being only GGXX, i would play if the buttons were correctly set up. if you can bring your own stick to the session, that would be great, but if you can’t, i think the zone has a spare hori. back when there were more sessions, i used to bring arcana hearts and hokuto no ken, but lately it’s just been ggac.

Sorry for posting so late, been really busy trying to get 2000 in all brackets lol.
At that point in time I was considering Ky as a main over Slayer because he’s more fun to play, so I figured I’d give him a shot against a character I was much more familiar with (I only know how to block johnny, not quite how to get in, so I felt safer playing a character that can punish him randomly for 3/4 life lol).
My friend that plays with the Pittsburgh crew (conata is one of them) started to pick up Eddie that break so I started to play Ky at the same time. He switched to Eddie as his main, and by the sound of it he’s getting a lot better, so I’m probably gonna just drop Ky since he’s a shitty character lol. Really rusty now but gonna go to the next tournament and probably play only Slayer. Didn’t mean to insult you or anything.

GGXX Accent Core Tournament Reminder!
Date: February 23rd, 2008 (Saturday)
Time: Signups and freeplay begin at 6:00pm, matches begin at 8:00pm
Place: The Zones, in the back near the bathrooms.
Fee: $10 ($3 Zones fee, the other $7 goes into jackpot). The fee is $10 again since tournaments only occur about once a month.
Type: Double elimination, one “first to 3 rounds” match.
Prizes:
1st place: 70% of pot
2nd place: 20%
3rd place: 10%
Other:
-There will be only one TV again.
-You may use more than one character throughout the tournament.
-Bring any controllers you wish to play on.
-There will be freeplay held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, so feel free to come early if you’d like to practice.
-If you have any concerns or questions, please post and I’ll answer them as soon as I can.
Also, if enough people want to attend, I will hold a practice session next thursday at 7:30, two days before the tournament.
I’ll play on Thursday again. I’ve been working on some little close range 2hit combos and shit. Also been using FD on almost everything I do when I’m not attacking. I gotta stop air dashing/running in and attacking. Last week showed how spoiled I was from playing against the AI for the past year.
I wish I could play on Thurs. night too, considering my situation lol.
