Working out both flight (pretty much covered) AND conditional place of stay (currently without one lol)
That and I seem to have a conflicting travel plan ‘that’ particular weekend with other family members as well, I’m not the only one going off island it seems lol.

tomorrow’s tournament is still up, but i don’t have the funds to buy another tv from walmart right now so there’s only going to be one lagless tv unless someone else wants to bring a tv in.
Dagger_G - if you are coming down tomorrow, you want to play our money match in CVS2 at the Zone? If you don’t want to because of controller issues, lag, not playing on a cab… whatever, that’s cool too. Just post up here and let me know ahead of time. I’ve had a hard time making it down to HBB lately and didn’t want to flake on our money match.
Id D-pad brings down the other tvs on saturday we can play. Im going to the ggxx tourney anyway.

I just got note that 2 of the guys (Selovare and his friend) can’t make it to the tournament today. They wanted to know if you can push the tournament back. I’d like that too. I think we need all the attendance we can get since there are only a handful of people that still play. They wanted to say that they’re sorry for the last minute notice. Sounds like Kurokun is in a bit of a jam too. What do you guys say?

At this point in time, I don’t think that I will be able to attend tonight’s tourney.

Hopefully there is a good turnout regardless for some comp.
Seeing a request to push back the tourney might be an option to consider since other people can’t make it there, as well as myself. It’s something I support cause attendance is important for competition play, especially for GGXX: AC since only so many people play the game. If its still planned for this month, I propose the 19th but this needs to be discussed with everyone first.

As of now the tournament is temporarily postponed until I found out what date everyone will be able to attend. However, I will still be at Zones in the evening today (Sat., Jan. 5) in case anyone still wants to play casual Guilty Gear (I will not bring my lagless TV, though). I will post updated tournament info as soon as I can.
I agree with Levi, I want as much entrants as possible. Its cool to postpone the tourney. D-Pad just make sure that the tourney date is set in advance as far as possible so that ALL of us can request time off for that particular day.

I forgot to mention this earlier. Actually, I was gonna save this if I had come up for the tournament but oh well, lol.
Apparently, a friend of mine was up on Oahu round X-mas time (the weekend right before IIRC) and said he played some matches of GGX2 @ Mililani Fun Factory. He tells me that there was a small group of people there and that he played them.
Chars they used (IIRC): SO, PO, DI, AX, FA, possibly a few others.
Chars my friend used: TE, MA
He tells me that he ‘pwned’ (something along the lines of that) for the most part. I am likely to believe that he -may- have won some matches but I don’t think he ‘pwned’ people considering he tells me that he was busting out EXE beast FRC combos with TE that I find hard to believe, and with MA I am willing to venture that he spammed both vert/hori dolphins as well as whale ODs to win. I was like ‘you’re BSing me’ and of course he says 'I played good against these guys. I am very -reluctant- to believe his story outright considering his history of playing GGXX with me. I told D-Pad the story about that when I came up in October. In other words, he plays quite scrubby lol.
So, can anyone confirm/disprove this? I call BS on this but I just wanna be sure about the facts if there are other sources who can attest to this.
One last tidbit of info: After the GGX2 matches, my friend was challenged to a maximum tune race, which he said he won but declined some dancing game challenge that was proposed afterwards. Hope that helps…
