Why would half circles be different on a dual mod?
Wait⦠isnāt that the whole purpose of a ps360+? So they will be the same?
yea I was under the same impression. Someone in here was discussing dual modding a PS3/PC hit box, but then it came up that SOCD would work on 360 if they did that. We were left to believe that the PS360 hit box prevented SOCD on both PS3 and 360.
So Hit box crew, how do things stand? Does the PS360 hit box prevent SOCD on both PS3 and 360? If not is this going to be changed?
This is a very true statement. I tried out a non-official āsticklessā arcade stick and thatās why I put myself on the waiting list. Just so I could have an official hitbox.
The PS360 does prevent SOCD, but not in the way we want it to. Left+Right is left and Up+Down is Up Right. Because of this, half circles are harder since left+right doesnāt give you neutral, and plinking super jumps and such is riskier because you might not want to go up and right.
Weāre going to do everything we can to make it so that the PS360+ works the same way that our Cthulu does.
left+right = left and up + down = up-right?! Wow, that is certainly peculiar. Iām crossing my fingers and I hope you express these concerns to akishop about this predicament. Iām definitely looking forward to the PS360+ version of the hitbox. Keep up the hard work guys.
Wait so if you fix the issue will up + down no longer = up? That feature I actually liked for the tri jumps.
Weāre trying to make it so that it DOES do that. The PS360 currently does not do that.
Good to here, hope it works out.
Hey guys. my hitbox has been acting weird the past few days, i use it currently on the pc for the AE version on steam, but it keeps disconnecting from the pc, and i think either the left or down button is bugged, cause sometimes it seems to pause the game to. Iāve checked the button configs and stuff and its all set up correclty but im not sureā¦also sounds like somethings loose inside the hitbox itself, maybe some solderings loose and i just need to open it up or re screw something. But i just wanted to check for use with PC do i need to download or install anything extra ? cheers guys.
It should be fine after plugging it in, shouldnāt have to download or install anything. If you want you can open it up and check for loose wiring or exposed copper or you can send it back and weāll check it out.
I live in the UK so I had to wait for it to come and pay extra vat Iām sure somethings just come loose ill open it tommorow and take a look.
Have you tried it on a ps3 or 360? each individual box is hand made and inspected/tested 3 times over before we send it out. There should not be anything that needs to be installed however, you might need to switch the mode on the box so that it works with the PC.
I donāt actually own a ps3 I got it to use wick my pc for ae unrolled I can afford a ps3 it works for the most part but keeps randomly disconnecting and pausing. I think somethings come loose I can hear something moving when I move the box about
right, so i can deff hear something ratteling about when i move the actual hitbox around :/, and it keeps disconnecting from my pc, it was fine for the first day when i had a mate over we had a good 3 hr session w/o any problems, then i picked it up the other day and its not staying connected for more than a few minutes before pausing my game and saying i need to plug it back in the ratteling was allways there to when it arrived. Iām sure its not a fault at your end by the way, its come from the USA to the UK im sure it was just the postage i just hope i can open it up and fix it i dont have the parts right now to even open it as i just moved into a new place recently. Regarding the mode switch? how does this work is there something i should be doing when i connect it to the pc to make it pc friendly? i usally just connect the USB up and then launch SF. thanks guys again im sure this isent your fault just trying to get a idea of if i needed to do something before opening it up and praying i can fix it ><
I second the request for an art template ā need to put some sick art on this baby.
Got the glory that is HitBox, and man do I suck right now. I was on the waiting list for 10 days, ordered it last weekend, shipped out on Monday, got it today. I have been trying to make an art template with one of the templates that was posted earlier. It should be easier now do to the fact I have my HitBox now. I should have something soon, but feel free if someone else wants to put one up. Just realized that I donā't have a way to upload the template if I make one. So, if someone does if I could email it to you that would be great.
That was a long wait to get my Hit Box, but definitely worth it. I am in the Noah camp for sure. It just took a minute or two to learn the concept and everything is translating over quite fast. Almost too fast as I will do something and think, āHow exactly did I just do that?ā. I am happy to say that Soul Calibur players need not worry, there is enough room for you to have one thumb on block (X) and the other on Up. It is an odd feeling to play āfootsieā with your thumbs as they rub together some, but you can get used too it. Only bad part is I have had to take a break as my left hand is hurting a bit (almost got carpal tunnel a couple years ago). Though, I am sure it is just a transition period as my hand would hurt this way sometimes when I went back and forth between pad and stick. Really like your product! Kinda funny that my button request is backwards, but I like it a lot. I may make a video and such in the future when I know I can help the āHow to Hit Boxā cause. Again, really like your product guys, thumbs up for sure.
Havnt been able to open my hitbox up yet to see whats rolling about inside (is it a prize like in certain boxes of cereal?!) as i dont have the right screwdrivers any idea what size i need and iāll post pics if thats ok to see what i can do about fixing it. Thanks !
Hmm⦠I donāt know the official size, but a hex key SAE size: 5/64" seems to fit. Rather surprise how not so tight it is on mine. I hope that is ok. Though, I understand how sensitive plexi can be, so I dont dare tighten it.
