I tested my PS3/PC Hit Box on a XCM Cross Fire adapter and it did not work. Everything else about the converter worked fine (Original Xbox controller, PS3 controller).
Has anyone tested this one yet?

lol i remember people making fun of me cause i used to play sf4 pc with a keyboard (i still do it when i play sf4 and 2x on ggpo), and now hitboxes are going to be sold like bread, things really change easilyā¦
You can just say you were a head of the game!
Question about the Cthulhu PCB in the HitBox. Is it PS3/PC only or Multi-Console?
I donāt think itās the MC. I donāt make the orders myself, but I would bet against it.
Most converters I reviewed seemed to have complaints about lag⦠You might spend your money better on a dual mod for your hit boxā¦
I noticed that some inputs are more lenient than others although both should be the same motion. In 3S chun li kikoken is same input as dudley MGB but it s much easier to do MGB. Furthermore, the shortcuts/lenient inputs differ amont different versions of street fighter.
Iām currently on the waiting list but I figured Iād try to make my own in the mean time. If I understand correctly, the Hit Box uses a custom Toodles Cthulhu PCB that makes Left+Right= Neutral? What exactly is the advantage of it making it neutral?
Also how would I get this to register as neutral if I order a Toodles Cthulhu PCB? Is it even possible? I must admit, Iām a pretty big noob at this stuff.
The main advantage of making L+R = Neutral is to prevent people from complaining about being able to block both directions simultaneously & getting the HitBox banned from tournaments (even though it wasnāt in EVO2011).
Itās a custom based on the PS3/PC Cthulhu+ code. It does NOT support the additional MC consoles. If thatās something youād be interested in, definitely let the HitBox team know; itās definitely possible on my end.
The HitBox team is confident in how the stick works, and in itās superiority over traditional arcade sticks. They donāt need shenanigans like the ability to send Left and Right at the same time to be a better product, same as they donāt want the community to cripple themselves by having incorrect rumors slow down its adoption. The HitBox can do everything a standard arcade stick, no more, no less; you could even pull out the PCB and put it into a standard arcade stick with not problems at all. But they feel the layout gives more precise control; they donāt need tricks to show itās better.
Are you asking in the HitBox thread how to make your own without buying one? Seems kind of rude. Iād recommend asking in a different thread.
specifically about ps3 to 360 convertersā¦
No not at all, I still plan on buying one because it will be much better quality than the one I make. Just in the mean time of waiting for a hitbox, Iām gonna try to make my own. It also wouldnāt hurt to have two in case I have friends come over.
Besides getting rid of the double blocking issue in MvC3, making left+right get you neutral also makes left+right+down just equal down, which makes half circles a little easier to do if you just happen to roll too fast.
Toodles has made this feature a part of all of his new Cthulus, so if you order from him it should work similarly for you no problem.
MC Cthulhuās, yes, and ChimpSMDs if you flash a specific firmware to in. PS3/PC Cthulhus do NOT have SOCD cleaning going on that I know of.
Oh, my mistake. I thought you said it was a feature you were implementing.
put my official order in today. Will the shipment have tracking? If not, approx how long is the ship time?
If you donāt mind me asking, when did you first go on the waiting list?
To give u an idea: i signed up end of june. they sent it 7 days ago. BUT: Itās a PS3, not 360
And, yes youāll get a tracking number. The HitBox Team ist great!
Damn that means mine might be ready by Halloween I guess. Oh well I can wait but it just sucks knowing that I could be playing on something that fits me better. I almost donāt even want to play anymore until I can get my hands on a Hitbox haha.
i got on the waiting list in July and i was able to order mine today. I was wondering if there was any way to make this work on a 360 as well, i know its harder to get the parts for them to make a 360 one.
