Hit Box - We so S Tier1!

I’m fully aware that nobody else calls it that, but when talking in the context of the product that says in it’s product feature bulletpoints that it does do that stupidly worded thing, I’d say it’s kind of important to make that clarification lol

You know its Microsoft’s fault for naming there 3rd console the Xbox ONE in the first place.
They didn’t want to call it the Xbox 3 as it sound inferior to the PS4 (in many ways it is).
And now the name of the console is getting everyone confused.

Vicko is right, No one calls the OG Xbox as “XB1” except Akishop. But I will give Akishop a break on this as Japan has different cultural references compared to the US.
I do understand there cultural differences between the two counties. Gestures and references change. The attitudes for certain aspects of society don’t apply the same between US and Japan.
I don’t know what OG already represents in Japan, maybe their OG does not mean ‘Original’ maybe it means Poop or Fired Chicken, I don’t know. Who cares, it’s getting off topic.

PS360+ does not do Xbox One, Period. The PS360+ also does what I think is a poor job for compatibility for the PS4.

“Fired” chicken sounds amazing

Quad modded a hitbox for a guy in NY. 2 day turnaround. Switch modes between MS and Sony by holding home on plug in, Switch between next gen and last gen by holding A on plug in. SOCD still intact. Almost drilled a hole for switching generations but figured something out with @Gummo 's help.

I’m ready to buy a PS3/PC Hit Box, but I’d really prefer the layout to be horizontally flipped (directional buttons on the right). Does Hit Box sell a version with this layout? If not, is the unit they sell made in such a way that I could flip the plexi over so it creates this layout? Or am I better off finding a custom replacement plexi/full custom build from somewhere else?

I do not own a hitbox, but I would assume that flipping the plexi over will not work due to the fact that there is a metal top panel that is cut to the standard layout.

I guess then a better question would be whether that metal panel is removable, or whether it can be flipped over or replaced with one that has the layout I want?

You can flip it over and use the bottom cover but the top is not removable

We don’t really do that, so you’re out of luck from us unfortunately.

hi guys, i’m planning to make a PS4 hitbox to replace my PS3 one. Can you guys suggest a PS4 PCB available, or there’s not anything yet

If you know how to solder, and don’t mind gutting a game pad and hacking it, the Hori Fighting Commander 4 works

I heard there’s a guy in vegas who can mod a hitbox and mail out directly from the hitbox guys, thus saving on shipping

The most interesting question then is what will happen if u mod a hitboxlayout to a ds4 controller and press left and right at same time. Which is usually impossible. Anyone know about that?

DS4 has built in SOCD protection
FC4 does not
DS4 is really hard to mod if you haven’t modded before, FC4 a lot less so
There’s a thread on building your own SOCD cleaner which is really easy to do

Also you can just hire a modder to do it for you

Do the legitimate Hitbox inputs work the same on 360 as it does PS3/PC? I’ve been using a Toodles TE kit with a modified Hitbox style panel for almost three years now, and charge motions do not work the same at all across all systems, and I’m not sure if it’s the controller/system or something within each version of the game per system.

On the 360 up overrides down, but in addition to that, forward overrides back, kind of like with a keyboard. This is the easiest way to play charge characters. On the Hitbox up is supposed to override down, but forward it not supposed to override back. With what I am using, SOCD do not function at all on PS3 or PC.

If SF5 doesn’t end up getting PS3 stick support, I was probably just going to buy either a new stick or a Hitbox, if one becomes available for PS4 + PC, but I need to know the inputs are going to be consistent across systems, unlike with what I currently have.

Depends on if you used a socd cleaner for the 360pcb
Ps360+ handles socd the same on both consoles
The old ps360 did not

Has anybody updated the software of their PS360+ so that it will work on PS4? Does this keep the SOCD in tact (back + forward= neutral; down+ up= up) our does it overwrite it?

I have and it keeps SOCD cleaning the same way.

Awesome! I’ve been wanting to try SFV with my Hitbox. Thank you!

without a socd he will move forward when back+forward is pressed right?
same happens on a keyboard so why is it so important to put a sodc cleaner in a hitbox?

with sf5 pc-ps4 crossplay a lot of people will use a keyboard…what kind of advantage will they get trough it?!

would be great when someone can clear this up for me.
